Review | Contagion – Erin Bowman

October is a month for spooky, supernatural or creepy books. As you know Candyce and I both participated in a Spook-a-thon, and for one of the challenges I read Contagion by Erin Bowman. I was already interested in this story when reading the synopsis a while ago, but when a friend told us how amazing the audiobook was I knew I had to pick it up. Since it was available as audiobook, I decided to go that route. So let’s take a look to see if I liked this one! Continue reading “Review | Contagion – Erin Bowman”

Bookish Item| The Princess Saves the Day Event

If you’ve been following the blog, you know I help moderate the Facebook group TBR & Beyond. There are always different events going on, like group reads. This month we also have The Princess Saves the Day event. I decided to write a post about my TBR (even though I never stick to one, haha).

Tag | Tropes Books Tag

This past week I saw this amazing tag at the channels of a couple of my favorite booktubers. And I just knew I had to do it as well! This is one of the hardest tags I ever did to be honest but I love the idea and the questions. The tag is the Tropes Books Tag and it’s created by Jes Reads Books. Let’s take a look at those questions.  Continue reading “Tag | Tropes Books Tag”

Looking Back at Our Bookhauls | October 2017

We decided to add a new post to the blog. As you know, we show you the books we bought or received every month. This got us thinking, how many books have we actually already read from our hauls? So now once a month we will be looking back at our bookhauls from a year ago and tell you what we have read!

If we haven’t read many of them, hopefully this will motivate us a bit more to read more of the books we already own, haha. So this month we will talk about our bookhaul in October 2017.

Review| Erik – Sawyer Bennett

If you saw my review that was posted earlier today, you would be able to tell I am a fan of sports romances. Today is the release day for another sports romance, Erik by Sawyer Bennett. Hockey seems to be the sport I read a lot about in sports romances, so when I got the chance to get an ARC, I couldn’t resist. I am definitely grateful for this chance. If you want to know what I think of Erik, keep on reading.

TTT #52 | Backlist Books I Want To Read

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since last January Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s prompt is backlist books I want to read. There are a lot of those, haha. I have already done a couple of posts about this: books I want to read before the end of the year Part 1 and Part 2.

Blog Tour| I Bet You – Ilsa Madden-Mills

Earlier this year I read I Dare You and loved all the characters in that book. I Bet You is the next book in the Hookup series. This can be read as a standalone, but we do read about characters we saw in I Dare You. Thanks to the author and Social Butterfly PR I was able to get an ARC to read and review for this blog tour. Make sure to read until the end, there’s also a little excerpt in this post!

Bookish Item | Spook-a-thon Wrap Up

Last month we posted about the spook-a-thon our friend Kwante was hosting. We both made a little TBR with books we hoped to read during this read-a-thon. It’s the beginning of November now, so we wanted to talk about what we actually read. So it’s time to take a look at our spook-a-thon wrap up.

Show Sunday | Peaky Blinders

As you all hopefully know by now, we love watching tv shows, a little bit too much sometimes haha. Peaky Blinders is a show I was always mildly interested in, I heard a lot of good things about it so I planned on watching it some day. And that day was this summer, after I came back from London. I was in the mood and watched the first two episodes. Did I like it? And did I watch the rest? Keep on reading to find out!

Review| Hope to Fall – Kelsey Kingsley

At the beginning of this week, this author surprised her readers with Hope to Fall, the next book in the Kinney Brothers series. I was lucky enough to get an ARC and knew everyone would be in for a great surprise. I even read this book in one sitting!

If you want to know more about Hope to Fall and what I loved about it, keep on reading!
