If anyone is a fan of rom-coms it’s definitely me, so I think it’s safe to say that Better Than the Movies has been on my radar for awhile. So you can imagine how excited I was when the publisher contacted me to ask if I wanted an e-arc of this book. Of course, I said yes! Today I want to tell you about this book and what I thought. Keep on reading to find out more.
I don’t think there’s anyone who hasn’t heard about Netflix newest hitshow. Shadow and Bone aired April 23rd and while I tried to pace myself I did finish watching it in a day or two haha. Today I wanted to share my thoughts about the show with you all. So let’s jump in! Continue reading “Show Sunday | Shadow and Bone”
I’ve read a couple of books by Emily Kazmierski (Deadly First Day & Lethal Queen Bee) and I was really excited when she announced her next book. Don’t Look Behind You is an YA psychological thriller. I’ve been loving this genre lately, so I definitely had to accept an ARC when it was offered to me. Keep on reading to find out more about this book and what I thought!
If you read my Royal Update you know I moved this week. And that new apartment is very, very small. So there isn’t that much room for my books haha. And with not much I mean I only have my TBR Cart with me haha. So I had to decide which books I would take with me. I can easily swap them out at my parents place, who live close by. But these are the books I actually have with me. Let’s take a look! Continue reading “Bookish Item | What’s On My TBR Cart”
Lately it’s harder finding tags to do that I want to do at the moment, so when I saw this post I haven’t seen before I knew I needed to give it a go. I discovered Last Year I Was Reading on Cozy with Books. This meme was originally created by Reading Maria and started off on Instagram! Let’s check out what this is all about an what I was reading last year!
We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.
Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.
We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is books with nature on the cover. It took me a while to compile a list, as I looked on my shelves to find the best covers for this. Nature is a pretty broad term in my opinion so I included all kinds of covers haha. So in the end this is what I came up with, let’s jump in! Continue reading “TTT #184 | Books with Nature on the Cover”
We already try keeping track of our TBR in different ways, but it’s also fun to look at them in themes. That’s one of the reasons why the bookish meme 5 On My TBR is so much fun. This bookish meme is hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. This week’s prompt is Fae/Faeries. I’m sure I have a few book on my TBR that fit this prompt. Let’s take a look!
We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too! Continue reading “Royal Update #72”
Since my last Down the TBR Hole two weeks ago I’ve only added 3 books to my want to read shelf. It also helps that I’ve started reading a couple of books that were on that shelf, so it’s definitely still necessary to do these posts.
Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!
