WWW Wednesday #1

Lately I’ve been looking for something new to do on Wednesday. We have a few different posts, but I needed a new idea as well. I’ve been seeing WWW Wednesday posts for quite some time and decided I was going to do one every once in a while as well. We talk a little bit about what we’re reading or have read when we have a Royal Update, but don’t give any thoughts.

So it’s time for the first WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

TTT #220 | Books I Meant to Read in 2021 But Didn’t Get To Part 2

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Books I Meant to Read in 2021 But Didn’t Get To. Candyce already did a part 1 to this last week and today is my turn. Since I didn’t read nearly as many books as I would’ve liked you can bet there are a ton of books I meant to read in 2021 but didn’t get to. So let’s see which 10 I picked. Bookish Item| January TBR

It’s hard to believe when this post comes online that it’s going to be the last day of the year. 2021 went fast and slow at the same time. Today I want to talk about my January TBR. There are quite a few books I want to fit in next month, so it’ll be interesting to see what I end up reading. So keep on reading to see what I hope to read in January.

5 On My TBR | Planned to Read in 2021 Part 2

Besides my Netgalley backlist posts I also try and track my physical TBR. That’s not always an easy task. There are so many books I want to read, but just not enough time. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.

This week’s topic is Planned to Read in 2021. Candyce did that topic last week as well, and today I want to show 5 off the books I planned on reading this year. Since we only have a couple of days left, I’m confident I won’t be reading these in 2021. Hopefully I will read them in 2022! Let’s take a look. Bookish Item | My Unread Manga & Graphic Novels

I wasn’t feeling any tags for today so I decided to do a bookish item. And when I was looking around my room I thought it would be interesting to share my unread manga and graphic novels. You could also say this is my manga and graphic novel TBR. It’s not big but I do think I have a couple of exciting reads on there. Let’s jump in!

5 On My TBR | Magical Realism/Fabulism

Tracking your TBR is pretty important when it’s quite large, haha. Besides Down the TBR Hole and my Netgalley Backlist we needed something to track my physical TBR. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.

This week’s topic is Magical Realism/Fabulism. I think there are some controversies on which books should be magical realism, so I believe that’s why there is also the term fabulism. Especially without reading the books I’m not sure which books on my shelves are magical realism (or fabulism). So I’m going off of what is on Goodreads. It might not be totally correct but it is what I’m going with today haha. Let’s jump in! Continue reading “5 On My TBR | Magical Realism/Fabulism”

TTT #214 | Books I Want to Read Before the End of the Year

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is a freebie so I decided to go with Books I Want to Read Before the End of the Year. We have a little less than 4 weeks to go so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to read 10 more books but I’ll try my best! Let’s take a look. 5 On My TBR | Family

It’s been a while since I’ve done a 5 On My TBR post, but I wanted to do another one. I keep track of my ARCs and other books, so it’s also fun to keep track of my physical TBR. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme is hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.

This week’s prompt is family. And I have to say it was pretty hard! I love found family books but I tried to not look at those as that feels like a different prompt. Family isn’t always mentioned in the synopsis so some of these are a bit of a gamble haha. Continue reading “5 On My TBR | Family”

Bookish Item | Try A Chapter – Halloween edition

It’s been quite a while since I did a Try A Chapter. Last time I did it as a tag but I didn’t want to wait until next week because these are Halloween books or spooky books. So I want to try these to figure out which book I’ll be reading this weekend. I picked 4 books so let’s take a look and try those chapters!

5 On My TBR | Monsters Living Among Us

Tracking your TBR is pretty important when it’s quite large, haha. Besides Down the TBR Hole and my Netgalley Backlist we needed something to track my physical TBR. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.

This week’s topic is Monsters Living Among Us. I had to think about my interpretation of this topic. And I decided to go the murder mystery route, there are always monstrous people involved in those stories and the killer is usually a person you wouldn’t suspect as first. Let’s see which books I have on my TBR. Continue reading “5 On My TBR | Monsters Living Among Us”
