A couple of weeks ago we started doing the 5 On My TBR bookish meme and it was a lot of fun, so we want to bring this meme to the blog more regularly! This bookish meme is hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. This week’s prompt is Enemies to Lovers. So I took a look to see which books on my TBR have enemies that will turn lovers <3. Next to our Bookhauls, this is one of the scariest post every month! We love buying books maybe even more than we love reading them haha. So while it’s good to be reminded of the books we bought it’s also a reminder of all the books we STILL need to read haha. Let’s see which books we read and which are still on our TBR from our September 2019 bookhaul!

It’s hard to believe it’s almost October! I’ve said this before, but 2020 is taking forever and flying by at the same time. The past few months I’ve talked about my monthly TBR and want to do that again today. So if you’re curious about my October TBR, keep on reading!
This week we’re going to be kicking off our blog birthday week! It’s hard to believe that in a few days it’s The Book Dutchesses’ third birthday! We still love what we’re doing, so we thought we’d take some time to look back at what we’ve done and what we still want to do.
So today our 5 on My TBR is focusing on five books on our TBR that are buddyreads we still want to do. We love reading books together. There are just so many it takes us awhile to get to all of the books we want to read. Keep on reading to see five books we hope to read together soon.
Last week Candyce posted about her 2020 most anticipated reads. At the start of the year we both did a TTT post for our most anticipated reads for the first half of the year. You’d expect we would have read them by now, right? So we thought it would be fun to look back at those posts and share how many books we read. And by fun I meant scary because we all know I probably failed big time haha. Let’s dive in! Continue reading “Bookish Item | 2020 Most Anticipated; Did I Read Them? – Part 2”
I’m always on the lookout for a fun book tag and I came across this one! Beth from the Booksnest created this ‘I Should Have Read That Book’ tag and I found it at Emma’s blog the terror of knowing. There are 7 prompts and I really had to think for a couple of them, so let’s take a look! Continue reading “Tag | I Should Have Read That Book Tag”
As booklovers we both love buying books. That got us thinking… do we actually read the books we buy? That’s how this Looking Back at Our Bookhauls idea got started. It can be quite interesting to see what we’ve actually read and can make you run to your shelves to pick up the books you forgot about. Today let’s look back at our haul from August 2019! How did we do? Continue reading “Looking Back at Our Bookhaul | August 2019”
It honestly feels like I just sat down to write my post about my August TBR. So it’s really weird to be planning my September TBR. 2020 is going by really fast, but slow at the same time. Even though my August TBR didn’t exactly go as planned, I’m excited about the books I want to read next month. I will be reading a lot of ARCs and have quite a few blog tours, but they all look amazing. Keep reading to find out what books I plan to read in September!
As you probably know, were always looking for fun bookish memes. And last week I came across the 5 On My TBR. Every week there is a prompt and you talk about 5 books on your TBR that fit that theme. This bookish meme is hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Go check out her blog as well! For now, let’s jump right in. Continue reading “5 On My TBR #1 | Ensemble Cast”
I have a ton of books on my TBR, as you all know haha. And a lot of books on there are by authors I haven’t read before. So today I thought it was a fun idea to take a look at some of those authors. While I have a ton of ‘unread authors’ on my shelves, these are a couple I’m really excited about! Let’s dive in. Continue reading “Bookish Item | Authors on My TBR I Want To Try”
