Just 10 days before the end of the year! Earlier this month we shared our reading goals for 2019. For now its time to take a look at our reading goals for 2018, did we manage to meet them all? We did an update halfway through the year, we were on schedule with some of our goals and completely failing a couple of others… Let’s see how we did in our reading goals 2018 end of year update! Bookish Item | 2019 Reading Goals
Last year we set ourselves some reading goals and challenges for 2018. We did pretty well on some goals, and horribly on others haha. This year we want to try and be better and set ourselves some goals again. Let’s take a look to see what we came up with for our 2019 reading goals. Bookish Item| Top 18 Romance Books of 2018
Earlier today we posted our top 18 new releases of 2018, but after reading over 200 books it was impossible for me to choose just 18. That’s when I looked at the list of books I read and noticed that besides YA, I read A LOT of romance (I counted and it’s over 100 books!). So besides our earlier post, I’m also sharing my top 18 romance books of 2018!

Bookish Item | Magical Readathon
As massive Harry Potter fans we obviously need to participate in a Magical Readathon! Isabelle already participated in the O.W.L.s readathon earlier this year and that was so much fun. G from Book Roast has been hosting these Harry Potter themed Magical Readathons and for this Holiday season we’re getting the Christmas at Hogwarts edition <3 We can’t wait to participate and today we want to show our possible TBR’s. Bookish Item | Top 18 Backlist Books of 2018
Last year we shared our favorite books of the year. And we separated it by backlist books and 2017 releases for both NA and YA books. This year we made different lists as well and today we’ll share our favorite backlist books we read. Because we both read over a 100 books (and Candyce even over 200!) we decided to do a top 18. This will be quite the long post so lets get into our top 18 backlist books of 2018! Continue reading “Bookish Item | Top 18 Backlist Books of 2018”
Bookish Item| Book Beginnings on Friday
Do you ever just not know what to post about? Normally I have tons of ideas floating around my mind for these bookish items. Today I don’t have the lightbulb lighting for me. So I decide to participate in Book Beginning on Fridays. This meme was created by Rose City Reader.
The idea is to post the first sentence or so of the book you’re currently reading. After that you talk about your initial thoughts about the sentence, book or anything to do with that. I don’t know how often I will do this, but it seems like fun from time to time.
To continue our Shadowhunter week, today I will be talking about Queen of Air and Darkness. Don’t worry about spoilers for it though, I just barely started. It could contain spoilers up until Lord of Shadows though, because I will write down my expectations!
Bookish Item | All Of My Unread Subscription Box Books
As you all may know, I love bookish subscription boxes and I have ordered many. So obviously I have gotten a lot of books in those boxes. But have I read many books from subscription boxes? Unfortunately the answer is no haha. I don’t think I have read even half of the books I gotten in boxes. So today I will show you all the shameful pile of all my unread subscription box books. Continue reading “Bookish Item | All Of My Unread Subscription Box Books”
Bookish Item| Book Blogger Hop
I’ve decided to try something new this week. This is a meme that I have seen on multiple blogs, but have never given it a try.
The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Crazy for Books. In 2013 Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched this meme with the permission of the original blog. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
Bookish Item| The Princess Saves the Day Event
If you’ve been following the blog, you know I help moderate the Facebook group TBR & Beyond. There are always different events going on, like group reads. This month we also have The Princess Saves the Day event. I decided to write a post about my TBR (even though I never stick to one, haha).
