Bookish Item | All Of My Unread Subscription Box Books

As you all may know, I love bookish subscription boxes and I have ordered many. So obviously I have gotten a lot of books in those boxes. But have I read many books from subscription boxes? Unfortunately the answer is no haha. I don’t think I have read even half of the books I gotten in boxes. So today I will show you all the shameful pile of all my unread subscription box books.

Furyborn – Claire Legrand

This was an ARC in a past Fairyloot, about a year ago. I had every intention of reading it, the synopsis sounds interesting and I’ve heard so many good reviews. But somehow I’ve never picked it up. I guess I do have at least half a year before the sequel comes out 😉

Asylum 54.0 – Nadège Richards

To be honest, I’m not that interested in this book and I don’t think I will pick it up anytime soon. If I’m doing another unhaul, this one might be part of it. When thinking back, I don’t really remember which box I got this in either.

Serafina and the Black Cloak – Robert Beatty

I got this in a Dutch subscription box and have heard really good things about it. It’s a MG mystery and it sounds wonderful. I really have to start on my MG tbr because it’s growing out of control!

The Cruel Prince – Holly Black

I feel pretty bad about this one haha. So many people LOVE this book and are highly anticipating the sequel and I’m currently not one of them. I guess I’m lucky that I don’t have to wait for the sequel when I finally pick it up. With all the hype I was a bit scared of it being a let down but by now I might be able to pick it up.

The Language of Thorns – Leigh Bardugo

I had started this one and I really plan on picking it back up before King of Scars. The Grishaverse is one of my favorite fantasy worlds and I love Leigh Bardugo’s writing. I’m not the biggest fan of anthologies but I do want to read this one.

I just realized I forgot at least four books in this picture but what can we do haha

Heartless – Marissa Meyer

I think this is one of the only Marissa Meyer books I haven’t read yet and I don’t know why. This was such a highly anticipated release for me and I still think I will love this one. So I just need to pick it up and go for it haha. So many books, so little time!

Vassa in the Night – Sarah Porter

I have a feeling this is a very underrated book. There aren’t too many people talking about this book, I think I’ve only heard it mention by one booktuber. But I think I will really enjoy this one and it doesn’t look too big either. It seems like a winter book so maybe I’ll pick it up this winter!

Daughter of the Burning City – Amanda Foody

I listened to Ace of Shades by Amanda this year and was surprised by how much I liked it. So that has me quite excited for this one! The cover looks gorgeous and the synopsis sounds great. It has gotten a lot of good reviews as well so I better get on this.

Strange the Dreamer – Laini Taylor

This gorgeous book has been looking at me for about a year and a half! But I need to finish the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy before I can start this book. It doesn’t really make sense, but that’s how I feel about it. I have only 1 book left in that trilogy but I have forgotten so much! So we’ll see when I’ll finally pick that up haha.

Forest of a Thousand Lanterns – Julie C. Dao

This was another highly anticipated release for me and I’m not sure why I haven’t read this yet. I have looked at this book so many times already. The reviews have been a bit mixed but I’m still interested in picking this one up. It’s a pretty dark read I think so perfect for winter time.

Grace & Fury – Tracy Banghart

This is a pretty recent one, about 5 months ago… Okay not that recent haha. But still one of the newest books on this list. I don’t have that much to say about it, the synopsis sounds interesting and what I’ve gathered from reviews is that I’ll probably like this one. Now I just have to start reading it.

Onyx & Ivory – Mindee Arnett

This is another one that I’m not overly interested in. If it wasn’t in a Fariyloot I would never have picked it up. The story sounds interesting enough but not like anything special. I don’t think I’ll pick it up any time soon.

Nemesis – Brendan Reichs

I have been wanting to read this one for a while. The synopsis sounds super cool and dark and creepy and right up my alley. I should’ve picked it up for Halloween! A friend of mine has read it and loved it, and I think Candyce also has this one. I feel a buddy read coming 😉

Roar – Cora Carmack

The synopsis for this one sounds seriously cool and like something I’d want to read. Unfortunately I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews and that really dampened my excitement. At some point I will pick this one up but I don’t know when it’ll be.

These Rebel Waves – Sara Raasch

I’m really excited for this one! But as with Strange the Dreamer, I first want to finish Sara’s other series: Snow Like Ashes. I have only read the first book so I have 2 more to go. They are pretty quick reads so when I finally start them up again I think I will fly through them. And then I can pick up this one!

Whichwood – Tahereh Mafi

When I got this in a box, I first ordered Furthermore as well. I know it’s a companion novel but I do want to read it first. And that’s not something I have done yet. So it will be a while before I read this one. I guess we can put these on my MG TBR as well.

Beyond a Darkened Shore – Jessica Leake

I was a bit disappointed when I got this one in a Fairyloot. That month I was expecting and really hoping for another Viking novel and that’s why I haven’t picked it up yet. I do want to read it, some of my friends read it and absolutely loved it. They read it super quick and that does give me some hope for this one.

I’m loving these Fairyloot editions with sprayed edges!

The Hazel Wood – Melissa Albert

This is another possible unhaul book. The reviews have been quite bad and I don’t think I’ll be in the mood to pick it up any time soon to be honest. While the synopsis sounded pretty interesting, the story it self doesn’t seem to live up to it.

Mirage – Somaiya Daud

I think this will be an amazing read and I do plan on picking it up soon. This is one I might’ve picked up myself if it hadn’t been in a Fairyloot. I haven’t seen that many reviews but those I did see were enthusiastic.

State of Sorrow – Melinda Salisbury

This is another one where I want to finish the author’s previous trilogy first. In this case the Sin Eater’s Daughter trilogy. I have read the first two books, so I have only one left. It shouldn’t take that long, I ‘just’ have to pick it up. I love the covers and titles for that trilogy a lot. Hopefully I’ll enjoy State of Sorrow as much.

Poison’s Kiss – Breeana Shields

Candyce and I both own this one and it has been on our buddy read list for a long time. I can’t say I’m super excited for it and I think it will be quite a while before I pick this one up. When thinking about this one I can’t even remember the synopsis anymore.

Flame in the Mist – Renee Ahdieh

I adored the Wrath and the Dawn duology so much and I had high hopes for this one. But I’ve heard so many disappointed reviews for it, that I’m not that excited for it anymore. Pair that with the cover change and it might be a while before I’ll pick it up. I am very excited for her new vampire book though!

Heart of Thorns – Bree Barton

I’m not sure what to think about this one. The synopsis sounds interesting enough but I’ve seen only 3 reviews from trusted reviewers I think. And they were 2, 3 and 4 star reads. So I have no clue as to where I’ll fall on that spectrum haha.

Vengeful – V.E. Schwab

I got this in a special edition Ilumicrate (that was AWESOME) and I’m ashamed I haven’t finished this one yet! V.E. Schwab is one of my favorite authors and I love so many of her books. I did start this one but there were so many good new releases around that time. Hopefully I’ll pick it back up soon!

So these are all of my unread subscription box books! Have you read any of these? Let me know what you thought of them! And am I the only one but a shameful list like this? Haha, I need to know! Tell me all about it in the comments
