Bookhaul | November

How is it already the last month of the year?!? I know we’ve said this almost every month, but this year is now almost over! With Christmas just around the corner, were we good in November? Or were we naughty and did we add new books to our collections? Today we are sharing our November bookhaul!

Candyce

In November I was pretty good. I added three new books to my collection! Two of them are actually group reads for TBR & Beyond, so I needed to add them to be able to read along with everyone. I already read one of them and will be starting one the same day I am typing this, haha. So I’d say it wasn’t a bad month. Let’s see what three books I got.

The Light Between Worlds – Laura Weymouth

I know the American cover to this book is really gorgeous, but the UK cover is definitely a beauty as well. The end pages in this version are amazing as well. I will definitely take pictures of those when I post my review. The Light Between Worlds is a beautiful book with an amazing writing style. Keep an eye out for my review soon!

Girls of Paper and Fire – Natasha Ngan

Another beautiful book cover! This is a book I have heard a lot of good things about. It’s apparently hard to read at times, but really good. I already have this on my nightstand ready for me to read. This is another group read and the author will be visiting the group.

Little White Lies – Jennifer Lynn Barnes

I am a big fan of The Naturals series and Isabelle already read this and loved it. I love this cover and the naked hardcover is beautiful as well. I love pink! Little White Lies is a book I hope to read in December, but my plans always change!

I was such a good girl this month! With Christmas around the corner I only bought 2 graphic novels this month. At least, that’s what I bought for myself, I also bought quite some gift-books. And to be completely honest, I did buy some more books but they’ll be arriving in December so they can be shown in that shameful haul 😉 Let’s take a quick look at my newest additions this month.

I Hate Fairyland Vol. 4: Sadly Never After – Skottie Young

I’m still to sad that this is the last volume of I Hate Fairyland. This series is where my graphic novel journey started and I’m so grateful for that. I already read this last volume and while it’s not my favorite out of the four, I still highly enjoyed it. The ending was perfect! If you ever want to start with an easy but fun way into graphic novels, this is the series for you.

Monstress Vol. 3: Haven – Marjorie Liu & Sana Takeda

This third volume of Monstress was published in September and I kinda forgot about it for a second. But after the ‘Looking Back at Our Bookhauls‘ from last month I realized this was out already. I really enjoyed the first two volumes so I had to get this. This graphic novel series has a pretty complex story so it will probably take a little time for me to get back in to it. It is such a rich story though, and it’s one of my favorites.

And just when I scheduled this post I got another book in the mail haha. Bookdepository had some discounted books and I got a couple. The first one arrived today!

The Bane Chronicles – Cassandra Clare

I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get this one at such a bargain price. Now I just need to get the rest of the novella bindups in this same edition haha. I am completely engrossed in the Shadowhunters world right now so this came at the perfect time. And I hadn’t read the last story in this one yet, so I immediately fixed that.

So this is what we got this month! Have you read any of the books we got? What did you think?
