Can’t Wait Wednesday | The Damned – Renee Ahdieh

We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Continue reading “Can’t Wait Wednesday | The Damned – Renee Ahdieh”

Review Blast| Wild for You – Kendall Ryan

If you’ve been following the blog for awhile, I don’t think I have to mention that I’m a fan of Kendall Ryan’s books. The Hot Jocks series has been a lot of fun (Playing for Keeps, All the Way, Trying to Score, Crossing the Line & Down and Dirty). Wild for You is the next book in the series and released yesterday. Today I want to tell you what I thought of this book!

A big thanks to the author for providing me with an ARC to read and review.

TTT #129| Comfort Reads

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is titles that would make good band names. I wasn’t really feeling this, so I decided to make my own topic. With everything going on in the world, I thought it’d be fun to talk about Comfort Reads. What books do I (re)read when I need a pick me up? Let’s take a look!

Review | The Queen of Nothing – Holly Black

I did it! I read the whole The Folk of the Air trilogy (in about a month I might add). For a notorious not-finishing-any-series reader that’s quite an accomplishment haha. Candyce and I already shared our buddyreviews for The Cruel Prince and The Wicked King. Today it’s finally time for my review of The Queen of Nothing! Did the conclusion of the trilogy live up to the first two books? Keep on reading to see my thoughts on it.
There will be spoilers for The Cruel Prince and The Wicked King so beware! Continue reading “Review | The Queen of Nothing – Holly Black”

Royal Update #20

We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

Review Blast| A Slice of Love – Teagan Hunter

Teagan Hunter is a go to author for me when I need a laugh and a good romance. Even though her stories can be serious at times, there are always funny/lighter moments mixed in. The Slice series has been a lot of fun so far and I’ve reviewed them all up until now (A Pizza My Heart, I Knead You Tonight & Doughn’t Let Me Go).

This week the novella, A Slice of Love, was released. It was first found in the anthology Team Player 2, but can now be bought seperately. A big thanks to Wildfire Marketing Solutions and the author for providing me with an ARC to read and review.

Review| Dance of Despair – Kara S. Weaver

Bookish friends are the best and even more so when they write books that you love. A really good friend of mine wrote her first book last year, Crown of Conspiracy, and I loved it. I’m a bad friend, because I still need to write that review, but that will change in the near future. The second book, Dance of Despair, came out at the end of February and it was so good.

This is a sequel, so I’ll do my best to give you all of my thoughts without any spoilers. I want you to be able to read the first book and experience all the feels before diving into this one. So let’s take a look at my review!

Bookish Item | Ranking the Harry Potter Movies

I know it says Bookish Item, and then I put movies in the title but hear me out haha. After doing the Harry Potter books ranking, I also wanted to do a movie ranking. And it seems weird to not have that as a bookish item after that last post. As you might have read in my latest Royal Update, I watched all of the Harry Potter movies and realized I may not have watched all of them before. While it seems unlikely that I didn’t devour the movies like I did the books, there were so many scenes I didn’t recognize that I’m pretty sure I didn’t watch movie 3 through 8 before last week. I really feel like watching them all over again now but I’ll first give you my ranking of the movies!
Obviously there will once again be spoilers Continue reading “Bookish Item | Ranking the Harry Potter Movies”

Tag| Gilmore Girls Book Tag

Gilmore Girls is one of my favorite shows. It recently popped up when I was looking for something on Netflix. That made me wonder if there was a Gilmore Girls Book Tag. Come to find out, Isabelle did this tag shortly after we started the blog. That’s almost three years ago, so I think it’s time for me to give it a go as well. Let’s take a look!
