Last month we posted our TBRs for the Magical Readathon (Part 1 & Part 2) this year. We both set up a TBR to get our O.W.L.s. We’re both terrible at completing readathons, so we thought that by posting something about our progress would maybe help us along. We’re at the halfway mark now, so let’s take a look at our Magical Readathon update. How are we doing so far?
Review| Deadly First Day – Emily Kazmierski
Books that take place at school or at boarding schools are something I love to read. If you add a little mystery and romance, I’ll definitely give it a chance. Deadly First Day, the first book in the Embassy Academy series, checks off all of those boxes. With the sequel releasing later this month, I thought it was the perfect time to review Deadly First Day!

TTT #128 | Books I Enjoyed but Rarely Talk About
We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Books I Enjoyed but Rarely Talk About. And I really like this topic! There are quite some books we talk about alll the time and I’m happy to get the opportunity to pick some books that usually slip my mind. So let’s dive in! Review| My Life as a Pop Album – LJ Evans
LJ Evans has quickly become one of my favorite authors and that all started out with My Life as a Country Album. She really hits you in all the feels and that doesn’t change at all during any of her books. After reading Jake and Cam’s story, I was worried that nothing would be able to beat that. I was wrong though, because Mia and Derek are really special as well. Keep on reading for my full review of the second book in this series, My Life as a Pop Album!

Royal Update #19
We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too! Continue reading “Royal Update #19”
Down the TBR Hole #28
Seeing how I keep adding new books to my Goodreads TBR, I decided to did this just a little more often than I have before. It’s only been two weeks since I did my last post, but with the number of books still on that list, it’s never too soon to do this again. I’m trying to make this a regular post!
Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started! Continue reading “Down the TBR Hole #28”
Mini Review | The Test – Sylvain Neuvel
The Test had been on my TBR for a bit and when I came across it for a decent price I just had to get it. This was one of my first books for the O.W.L.’s readathon. It’s a very short book so this won’t be a very long review but I wanted to share my thoughts nonetheless. Let’s dive in!

Bookish Item| 5 On My TBR – RomComs
I’m always looking for new memes to do on the blog for bookish items on Friday. On Twitter I heard about a new one 5 On My TBR. This is normally done on Mondays, but I’m moving it to Friday, because it works just a bit better for our schedule, haha.
#5OnMyTBR is a bookish meme hosted by E. @ Local Bee Hunter’s Nook and you can learn more about it here or in the post announcing it. It occurs every Monday when we post about 5 books on our TBR. RomComs was the prompt for March 23rd, but I love them too much to not do this one! Let’s take a look at five romcoms on my TBR.
Bookish Item | Ranking the Harry Potter Books
Its nice to have something to comfort you in these trying times, and for me Harry Potter has been one of those things. I adore the series (and the whole wizarding world) with my whole heart. But of course we can’t love all 7 books entirely equally. So today I wanted to show you all my ranking of the Harry Potter books. Let’s dive in!
There will be spoilers 😉 Just in case haha. Continue reading “Bookish Item | Ranking the Harry Potter Books”
Can’t Wait Wednesday| The Mall – Megan McCafferty
We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.
Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.
