Gilmore Girls is one of my favorite shows. It recently popped up when I was looking for something on Netflix. That made me wonder if there was a Gilmore Girls Book Tag. Come to find out, Isabelle did this tag shortly after we started the blog. That’s almost three years ago, so I think it’s time for me to give it a go as well. Let’s take a look!
Lorelai: a character with a witty or sarcastic kind of humor
I love sarcastic characters. They always feel relatable and when a book can make me laugh out loud I’m very happy. Jennifer L. Armentrout is good at writing sarcastic characters and I love Josie and Seth. You can definitely depend on them to be very sarcastic.
Rory: your favorite classic
If I’m honest, I haven’t really read any classics. I always think there are so many pretty editions that I’d love to own, but there are so many I just don’t know where to start. If you have any favorites, feels free to let me know in the comments!
Luke: a book you secretly love but are afraid to admit
I’m not afraid to admit when I like a book. Just like I don’t really have guilty pleasures. I’m a true believer in that readers should read whatever they want and love what they love. I mean, that’s the whole point isn’t it? The love of reading and books. Who cares what someone reads?
Lane: a musical character
I just have to mention my new favorite musical character: Derek, from My Life as a Pop Album. He’s a singer and if his band actually existed, I would definitely be a fan! Musical characters are always so much fun to read about. Also, I really recommend this series, definitely go and read it!
Dean: your first booklove (book or character)
This shouldn’t be a surprise if you’ve been following the blog for awhile, but my first book love is Harry Potter. Even years later, I still love reading this series. It really feels like coming home. I’ll be doing a reread again this year, it’s definitely time to dive back into that world!
Sookie: a book you devoured
I really have to think of what book to use for this, because I’ve been reading a lot of good books lately! Be Not Far From Me is one of those books. I haven’t read a lot of survival books, but Mindy McGinnis made this book feel so real. This was a book I just couldn’t put down! I needed to know how things would end for our main character.
Jess: a book you love that gets the most hate
Hmmm… I can’t really think of a book that gets a lot of hate that I’ve ended up loving. I know The Black Witch got a lot of hate awhile ago, but that’s not something I understand at all. The plot and world are amazing. This series deserves so much more hype than it receives!
Miss Patty: a book that was ruined by the hype
There are two books that come to mind when I see this prompt, but I’ll go for Caraval. I remember this book getting so much hype. It sounded good, so I could completely understand that. That changed when I picked it up though. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an interesting book, but it didn’t wow me! I will definitely read the second and third book. Hopefully they end up pulling me in more than the first book.
Emily Gilmore: an expensive book
I know the beautiful editions of the classics I’ve seen are pretty expensive. The more expensive books on my shelves have to be the illustrated versions of Harry Potter. All of them are worth every penny though, because these books are gorgeous!
Paris: an uptight character
Pepper is pretty uptight at the beginning of Tweet Cute. I can understand that though. She has a lot going on. Between school, her baking blog and the stuff she has to do for the family business, it gets overwhelming. I don’t think I’d sleep if I had to do everything she did.Tweet Cute really is cute though, so definitely recommend it.
Now that I’ve done this tag, I want to watch the show all over again, haha. It’s definitely been too long since I watched this one. Who/What was your first book love? Let me know in the comments!
