Bookish Item | Books About Con Artists

I just finished The Deceivers yesterday and that book inspired me to do this post! It is about a bunch of teenagers who go to a school for con artists basically and I just adore stories with con artists. So for today I wanted to show some of the books with con artists I really liked and some I would love to read soon. Let’s get into it! Continue reading “Bookish Item | Books About Con Artists”

Bookish Item | Making a TBR

I have always been a mood reader and in many ways I still am. Recently, I’ve noticed that I have been planning what to read ahead of time. This is really easy, because I do have a schedule when it comes to blog tours, etc.

So I decided for the month of February, I would try and make a TBR. Today I want to show you what I decided to read this month. At the beginning of March, I want to look back and see if this helped at all and if I completed my TBR. If it works, I may need to do this more often!

Bookish Item | If I Only Owned 30 Books….

I think by now everyone has seen the Marie Kondo meme regarding owning only 30 books. And I think we also all know that number was just a personal preference for her but you can imagine how the bookish community reacted to all of this 😉 I can see where she is coming from, Marie wants to make us more aware of our clutter and take a good look at all the stuff we own. ‘Does this spark joy?’ is her go to question to determine if something stays or goes, and I like that a lot! In the wake of this funny meme some booktubers made videos wherein they picked which books they would keep ‘if i only owned 30 books’. I thought this was a really funded and would love to attempt this today as well! Continue reading “Bookish Item | If I Only Owned 30 Books….”

Bookish Item | Series I Want to Finish in 2019

A little bit later than planned but in this bookish item I want to show you all some of the series I would like to finish this year. I made a spreadsheet of all the series I’m currently reading, or better said, the series I started but never completed. There are over 60 series I have started that I also plan on finishing. This year one of my reading goals is once again to finish 12 series. So let’s take a look at a couple of the series I plan on finishing this year. I only mention 6 because I know I won’t be able to stick to 12 pre set series, but these have priority! Continue reading “Bookish Item | Series I Want to Finish in 2019”

Bookish Item | Romanceopoly

I always think it’s fun to do reading challenges to help my reading during the year. I’m a big fan of romance books, so when I saw Romanceopoly in a post of reading challenges on Mel to the Any, I knew I needed to check it out! There is full website for Romanceopoly to check out all the rules and book recommendations!

If you’re interested in this reading challenge, keep on reading to find out more and how I’m going to participate!

Bookish Item | Always Fully Booked Planner

I love planner and bullet journals but I have difficulty sticking to using them. This year I hope to change that with my bookish planner! I purchased the Always Fully Booked Planner from Little Inklings Designs for the coming year and I’m so excited to use it. So excited that I want to show you all a couple of pages today! So let’s get in to it! Continue reading “Bookish Item | Always Fully Booked Planner”

Bookish Item| Top 18 Romance Books of 2018

Earlier today we posted our top 18 new releases of 2018, but after reading over 200 books it was impossible for me to choose just 18. That’s when I looked at the list of books I read and noticed that besides YA, I read A LOT of romance (I counted and it’s over 100 books!). So besides our earlier post, I’m also sharing my top 18 romance books of 2018!

Bookish Item| Book Beginnings on Friday

Do you ever just not know what to post about? Normally I have tons of ideas floating around my mind for these bookish items. Today I don’t have the lightbulb lighting for me. So I decide to participate in Book Beginning on Fridays. This meme was created by Rose City Reader.

The idea is to post the first sentence or so of the book you’re currently reading. After that you talk about your initial thoughts about the sentence, book or anything to do with that. I don’t know how often I will do this, but it seems like fun from time to time.

To continue our Shadowhunter week, today I will be talking about Queen of Air and Darkness. Don’t worry about spoilers for it though, I just barely started. It could contain spoilers up until Lord of Shadows though, because I will write down my expectations!

Bookish Item| Book Blogger Hop

I’ve decided to try something new this week. This is a meme that I have seen on multiple blogs, but have never given it a try.

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Crazy for Books. In 2013 Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched this meme with the permission of the original blog. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
