Bookish Item| 2022 Five Star Predictions

It’s been quite some time since I’ve done this, but I thought it would be fun to talk about a few books I want to read in 2022 that I think will be five star reads. These will be a mix of new and older releases. Hopefully I’ll remember to come back to this post later this year to see if I was right about my five star predictions. Review | The Last Graduate – Naomi Novik

Naomi Novik wrote one of my favorite books; Uprooted. So of course I was interested in her dark academia series The Scholomance. Last year I got an eARC for A Deadly Education and I LOVED that book. It was one of my favorite books I read in 2021. And after that last line I needed the second book badly!! I also got an eARC for that one but because I was so busy it took me a while to pick it up. Once I actually did though, I finished it in about 2 days. And today I want to tell you all about it! Continue reading “Review | The Last Graduate – Naomi Novik”

Can’t Wait Wednesday | Portrait of a Thief – Grace D. Li

We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Continue reading “Can’t Wait Wednesday | Portrait of a Thief – Grace D. Li”

TTT #219 | Books I Meant to Read in 2021 But Didn’t Get To Part 1

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is most recent additions to my book collection. Seeing how we just did a bookhaul this topic doesn’t seem necessary. So I decided to take a go at next week’s topic: Books I Meant to Read in 2021 But Didn’t Get To. There were more than 10 releases I didn’t get to, but here are ones that are getting priority in 2022.

Bookish Item| 2021 Most Disappointing Reads

The past week we’ve been talking about the books we read in 2021. Thankfully we both read a lot of books and if you want to see what books we loved you can look back at the lists of our favorite graphic novels/manga, romances, backlist books and 2021 releases. Today we want to talk about our most disappointing reads of 2021. No, this isn’t a post to just say how bad books are. We just want to talk about the books we thought would be 5 stars and just didn’t turn out to be that way. Keep on reading to find out more!
