Review| Evocation – S.T. Gibson

Most people know S.T. Gibson from the book A Dowry of Blood. While I did enjoy that one, it wasn’t my favorite. When I heard about Evocation, I knew I needed this book in my life and I was right. So today I want to tell you about this book and what I thought.

A big thank you to Netgalley and Angry Robot Books for providing me with an eARC to read and review. This doesn’t affect my opinion in any way.

WWW Wednesday #72

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

TTT #362 | How My Reading Habits Have Changed Over Time Part 2

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is How My Reading Habits Have Changed Over Time. Candyce did a part 1 to this topic last week and today it’s my turn. Just like her, I don’t think I have 10 things to talk about, as I don’t think I have that many habits but let’s take a look! 5 On My TBR| Title Starting with a ‘U’

As we’ve mentioned before, one of our most important reading goals of is shrinking our physical TBR’s. Sometimes it’s hard to think of what books we still have or what subjects to read about. So we needed a way to keep track of this. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.

This week’s topic is title starting with a ‘U’. None are coming to mind at the moment, so I’ll be taking a look at my spreadsheet. Let’s take a look at the books I have on my TBR that fit this prompt.

Down the TBR Hole #137

Again, I’m working on this Down the TBR Hole post right after finishing the previous one. That means nothing has changed when it comes to the amount of books on my Goodreads want to read shelf.

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. This meme is now being hosted by Jody from I’m Into Books. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!

Review | The Blonde Identity – Ally Carter

I saw this title on Storytel and simply had to jump in right away. While I was browsing for a new audiobook I came across this one and recognised the author’s name. In the past I have read her Callagher Girls series and after glossing over the synopsis I decided to give the book a try. Today I want to share my thoughts with you all, so let’s jump in! Bookish Item| New to Me Authors I Want to Read a Book from Soon

Being in the bookish community I’m always running into authors that I’ve never heard about. I try and read some new authors every month, even though I tend to do so without even thinking about it. Today I want to talk about some new to me authors I’m hoping to read from soon. Let’s take a look!

Can’t Wait Wednesday | Only A Monster #3 – Vanessa Len

We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.

Can’t Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Continue reading “Can’t Wait Wednesday | Only A Monster #3 – Vanessa Len”
