5 On My TBR | Buddyreads We Want to Do

This week we’re going to be kicking off our blog birthday week! It’s hard to believe that in a few days it’s The Book Dutchesses’ third birthday! We still love what we’re doing, so we thought we’d take some time to look back at what we’ve done and what we still want to do.

So today our 5 on My TBR is focusing on five books on our TBR that are buddyreads we still want to do. We love reading books together. There are just so many it takes us awhile to get to all of the books we want to read. Keep on reading to see five books we hope to read together soon.

Bookish Item| Books I’ve Started and Really Need to Finish

This year I’ve been keeping track of my reading in a spreadsheet my boyfriend made for me. When I was looking at it last week, I noticed that I’ve started quite a few books, but haven’t finished them yet. I want to try and finish as much of these as possible before the end of the year. So a few will be added to my TBR each month to try and meet this goal. So keep on reading to see the books I’ve started, but really need to finish.

Book Tour | The Wild Path – Sarah R. Baughman

This year middle grade has had a lot of amazing books and I have a feeling there are quite a few to come. The Wild Path is one of these books. It sounded so amazing that both of us knew we needed to read it. So we knew we had to sign up for the book tour. Today is our stop on the tour hosted by TBR and Beyond Tours. We’re going to share our review and some favorite quotes.

Review| The How and the Why – Cynthia Hand

If you’ve been following the blog for awhile, then you know I’m a big fan of contemporary books. The How and the Why is one that caught my attention when it released and I finally got around to reading it. Last month I saw that the audiobook was on Storytel and I knew I needed to finally read this one. Keep on reading to find out what I thought of this book!

Bookish Item | 2020 Most Anticipated; Did I Read Them? – Part 2

Last week Candyce posted about her 2020 most anticipated reads. At the start of the year we both did a TTT post for our most anticipated reads for the first half of the year. You’d expect we would have read them by now, right? So we thought it would be fun to look back at those posts and share how many books we read. And by fun I meant scary because we all know I probably failed big time haha. Let’s dive in! Continue reading “Bookish Item | 2020 Most Anticipated; Did I Read Them? – Part 2”

Tag| The 90’s Kid Book Tag

When I was looking for a new tag to do today, I started thinking about ones I’ve done before. I’ve done a 90’s Book Tag about music, so I decided to see if there’s one with just different things from the ’90s. I was two in 1990, so I mostly grew up in this decade. I stumbled upon The 90’s Kid Book Tag created by The Literary Phoenix. Let’s take a look and take a walk down memory lane (for me at least)!

Can’t Wait Wednesday| Kingdom of the Wicked – Kerri Maniscalco

We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

Book Tour| Chasing Starlight – Teri Bailey Black

Last week Isabelle posted her review for the Chasing Starlight book tour and today it’s my turn. I really enjoyed Teri Bailey Black’s book A Girl at the Grave, so was excited when she announced this one! Chasing Starlight takes place in Hollywood and it interesting to dive into the world of glitz and glamour. There’s definitely more to this story though. Keep on reading!

A big thanks to TBR and Beyond Tours for hosting this tour and the publisher for providing an e-arc!
