This week we’re going to be kicking off our blog birthday week! It’s hard to believe that in a few days it’s The Book Dutchesses’ third birthday! We still love what we’re doing, so we thought we’d take some time to look back at what we’ve done and what we still want to do.
So today our 5 on My TBR is focusing on five books on our TBR that are buddyreads we still want to do. We love reading books together. There are just so many it takes us awhile to get to all of the books we want to read. Keep on reading to see five books we hope to read together soon.
Chain of Gold – Cassandra Clare We’re both Shadowhunter fangirls so of course we have to read this one. To be honest, it’s pretty disappointing we haven’t read this one yet! On the other hand we binge read the previous trilogy around the release date for the last book haha. It was great not having to wait in between books. But we do plan on reading this one in 2020.
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue – V.E. Schwab We both have an eARC for this one and we just started our buddyread this weekend. Addie LaRue releases early October and we want to be finished just before that. We both love Victoria Schwab and we’re super excited about this newest release.
Kingdom of the Wicked – Kerri Maniscalco We’re not completely done we Kerri’s previous series, Stalking Jack the Ripper, but we did enjoy the book we read so far. And when we got the chance to get an eARC of this newest book we had to take it. This sounds like an excited new story and we hope to read it before the release date.
Fallout – Gwenda Bond This is a book both of us bought after seeing it on bookstagram quite a bit. We don’t remember when we bought this book, but it’s been way too long without us reading it. So it’s time to change that in the near future.
Good Girl, Bad Blood – Holly Jackson Both of us really enjoyed A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. It’s a book that we just couldn’t put down and needed to know how it ended. The sequel, Good Girl, Gone Bad, released in April and we both own this book. So a perfect buddyread for the dark and cold weather we have coming the next few months!
So these are five books we both really want to read soon and discuss while reading! I know a couple are ARCs, but if you’ve read any of these, let us know which one we should start with first. We’d love to hear from you in the comments!
I haven’t read Cassandra Clare in years but I enjoyed her when I did. I might go check out some of her more recent work – I need to get sucked into a good book. So glad you highlighted her here!
