It’s been a while since I last did a Netgalley Backlist post! Candyce has been giving regular updates and I thought it would be fun to share the next part of mine as well. And hopefully this will help me get excited for some of these again. My current feedback ratio is 40% and picking up some of these older releases will definitely help. So let’s get into it! There are a lot of books I’m excited about that I have ARCs of and I’ve decided to start doing Bookish Beginnings on Friday more often to promote these books I’m really excited about. Today I’m going to be starting off with Mr. Wrong Number by Lynn Painter.
This meme was created by Rose City Reader. The idea is to post the first sentence or so of the book you’re currently reading. After that you talk about your initial thoughts about the sentence, book or anything to do with that.

A while ago Candyce and I wrote a couple ‘Last Year I Was Reading’ posts. I really enjoy looking back at what I was reading before and it’s a nice way to be reminded of those books again. We discovered Last Year I Was Reading on Cozy with Books. This meme was originally created by Reading Maria and started off on Instagram! Let’s check out what this is all about and what I was reading last year! Continue reading “Bookish Item | Last Year I Was Reading #5”
Last month Candyce shared some of her 2022 five star predictions and I figured I would share some of mine today. Even though I didn’t really follow my January TBR (when I’m typing this I’ve read 3 on the list and am almost done with number 4 & 5). I still think it’s fun to talk about the books I hope or want to read during a month, so today I’m going to talk about my February TBR. Keep on reading to see what books I’m hoping to read!

It’s been quite some time since I’ve done this, but I thought it would be fun to talk about a few books I want to read in 2022 that I think will be five star reads. These will be a mix of new and older releases. Hopefully I’ll remember to come back to this post later this year to see if I was right about my five star predictions. Let’s take a look at a few books I’m hoping/expecting will be amazing!
Every year we try to set ourselves some goals. At the end of 2021 we set our 2022 reading goals but today we want to give the final update on the 2021 reading goals we set about a year ago! We gave an update (part 1 and part 2) about half way through the year so you might have an idea whether we actually reached our goals. Let’s jump in! Continue reading “Bookish Item | 2021 Reading Goals: End of the Year Update”
The past week we’ve been talking about the books we read in 2021. Thankfully we both read a lot of books and if you want to see what books we loved you can look back at the lists of our favorite graphic novels/manga, romances, backlist books and 2021 releases. Today we want to talk about our most disappointing reads of 2021. No, this isn’t a post to just say how bad books are. We just want to talk about the books we thought would be 5 stars and just didn’t turn out to be that way. Keep on reading to find out more!

So we stood for the difficult task to pick ten of the most gorgeous covers of 2021 haha. Let’s take a look! Continue reading “Bookish Item | 2021 Favorite Covers”
