5 On My TBR| Romance

As I’ve mentioned before, one of my important reading goals of 2023 is shrinking my physical TBR. Sometimes it’s hard to think of what books I still have or subjects I want to read about. So we needed a way to keep track of this. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.

This week’s topic is romance. This is going to be one of the easiest topics for this meme, because my go to genre tends to be romance. Here are five that I hope to read really soon!

Bookish Beginnings on Friday| Otherworldly – F.T. Lukens

We have a lot of eARC’s and we want to promote them a little bit more. So we decided to do some more Bookish Beginnings On Friday. Today I wanted to share the beginning of Otherworldly. I already talked about this book in my Can’t Wait Wednesday post this week, but now it’s time to read the first few sentences. Let’s take a look!

Review| Belladonna – Adalyn Grace

Belladonna is a book that has received a lot of hype since releasing in 2022. I even grabbed an eARC of this book when it was read now on Netgalley. When a book is really hyped, I tend to be careful, because I’m afraid the hype is going to get my expectations too high. That wasn’t the case with this book and I’m mad a myself for taking so long to read it. So I finally did and want to talk about it, so keep on reading for more!

A big thank you to Netgalley and Little Brown for providing me with an eARC to read and review. This didn’t influence my opinion in any way.

Bookish Beginnings On Friday | The Break-Up Pact – Emma Lord

We have a lot of eARC’s and we want to promote them a little bit more. So we decided to do some more Bookish Beginnings On Friday. Today I wanted to share the beginning of The Break-Up Pact with you all. I don’t read a lot of romance books, but I do love a good story about fake dating! So I just had to give this one a try. Let’s see how it starts! Continue reading “Bookish Beginnings On Friday | The Break-Up Pact – Emma Lord”

Review| Do Your Worst – Rosie Danan

I’ve only read The Roommate by Rosie Danan and I definitely enjoyed myself. When I read about Do Your Worst, I was really excited. I loved the idea of an archeologist and curse breaker being forced to work together. I’ve finally read this one and want to talk about what I thought! So keep on reading to find out more.

A big thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an eARC to read and review. This did not influence my opinion of this book.

TTT #328 | Populair Romances I Want to Read

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is a love freebie. I decided to go with populair romances I want to read. Goodreads recently published a list of the 100 most popular romances of the past 3 years and it looks like I read exactely 3 books from that list haha. There were also funnily 10 books I already marked as want to read. So I thought they would be perfect for this list! Continue reading “TTT #328 | Populair Romances I Want to Read”

Bookish Beginnings on Friday | Assistant to the Villain – Hannah Nicole Maehrer

My most recent addition to my TBR is Assistant to the Villain, a book I’ve heard many great things about. I think it sounds hilarious and I really hope that is the case. So I figured I would take a look at the start of the book and get a sense of the writing style. Let’s jump in!

Review| Still Beating – Jennifer Hartmann

Still Beating released in 2020, but it’s a book I still keep hearing about three years later. So when Bloom announced they were publishing it and I was lucky to receive and eARC, I decided to finally sit down and read it. This book was quite the surprise! Keep on reading to find out what Still Beating is about and what I thought!

This book does get pretty dark, so if you have a hard time reading about certain things, definitely look up the warnings.

Review| Once More with Feeling – Elissa Sussman

Once More with Feeling is a book I was really curious about. We get friends to lovers that turns into enemies to lovers. Also a pop star trying to kick off her career again on Broadway. So I was really excited when I got an eARC to read and review this one. It took me a little longer than planned, but I’m finally posting my review today!

A big thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with this eARC.
