Even though I didn’t really follow my January TBR (when I’m typing this I’ve read 3 on the list and am almost done with number 4 & 5). I still think it’s fun to talk about the books I hope or want to read during a month, so today I’m going to talk about my February TBR. Keep on reading to see what books I’m hoping to read!
Buddy/Group Reads
Of course I have a couple reads for TBR and Beyond and I’m also participating in two group reads for a romance-a-thon, so it’s going to be a fun month! There will be some other buddy reads as well, but who knows I could always add more.
Love & Other Disasters – Anita Kelly
Love & Other Disasters is going to be February’s swoonalong read for the TBR and Beyond group. This is a book that’s been promoted all over the place and it sounds amazing. A romance between contestants on a popular baking show. That has an even bigger debut with its first openly nonbinary contestant. I have a feeling this is going to be a mix of an emotional and romantic read.
Girls of Storm and Shadow -Natasha Ngan
As a part of the series slayers in the TBR and Beyond group I’ll be reading Girls of Storm and Shadow. This month I read Girls of Paper and Fire and it was a case of why didn’t I read this sooner?!? It was really amazing. I need to find out how this story continues.
Now That I’ve Found You – Kristina Forest
Now That I’ve Found You was a book on my radar when it released in 2020, but I just haven’t gotten around to reading it. In February it’s a group read in the TBR and Beyond group. Our main character is looking for her famous grandmother in the hopes of making an appearance together to get her career back on the road. When she runs into Milo he decides to help her search. I see a love story happening here.
Caraval – Stephanie Garber
Caraval will be a reread for me this month and I’m joining a group in Instagram that’s reading it together. I read Caraval when it released, but I was honestly not really impressed. I’ve been wondering if it was just the hype and the moment I read it. So I’m giving it another chance, so I can finally continue with the two books after Caraval.
Love and Other Words – Christina Lauren
As a fan of Christina Lauren I’m still trying to work through their backlist. One of the group reads for the romance-a-thon I mentioned is Love and Other Words. I’ve heard amazing things about this one and it’s over 400 pages. Reading the synopsis of this one has me intrigued, because it’s told between a then and now timeline. I’m excited!
Reminders of Him – Colleen Hoover
Colleen Hoover is another author that always makes me cry, haha. Reminders of Him is her newest release and another group read during the romance-a-thon. I’ve heard from a few readers that this isn’t necessarily a book that focuses on the romance side of the story, but I’m very curious about this story.
House of Sky and Breath – Sarah J Maas
Before the month is over I’ll be done with my reread of House of Earth and Blood. I’m so glad I decided to do a reread, because there are just so many details about the world and characters in this book. I’m so glad I’ll finally be getting my hands on the next book in this series. I need to know how the story continues!
Court – Tracy Wolff
Court is a book I’ve mentioned a few times on the blog, but it’s one I just really need to get my hands on. I flew through the first three books and got way more invested than I expected to. This will probably be one of the first books I read as soon as I can get the book.
ARCs
So I have a never ending backlist (or so it seems) of ARCs that I need to read. There are a few romance ones I’m determined to read! There are a couple of older ones and two that still need to release.
The Love Con – Seressia Glass
The Love Con is a book I was planning on reading in December when it released, but I ended up not getting to it. Fake dating and a main character that loves anime, gaming, and cosplay was all I needed to know to want this book. I’m sure I’ll fly through this one.
The Fastest Way to Fall – Denise Williams
The Fastest Way to Fall is a book that got a lot of hype when it first released and it’s time for me to sit down and read it. Our main character works for a lifestyle website and wants to be a writer. She ends up falling for her personal trainer she finds through an app. I’m really curious to see where this goes.
Delilah Green Doesn’t Care – Ashley Herring Blake
Ashley Herring Blake is an author I know from heartbreaking middle grade books. This will be her first steamy queer romantic comedy. It sounds amazing and the fact that one of the main characters has a bookstore makes me want to read this even more.
Mr. Wrong Number – Lynn Painter
If you’ve been following the blog you’re probably sick of hearing me talk about this book by now, haha. Lynn Painter really impressed me with Better Than the Movies. This is her first adult romance and I couldn’t be more excited. A text to the wrong number starts things off and I can’t wait to see what happens with our main characters.
Asking for a Friend – Andi Osho
Three best friends decide to ditch dating apps and ask people out in real life for each other. I have a feeling that can going very wrong or very right, haha. I can’t wait to read more about these characters.
Books I Just Really Want to Read
I have some e-books, paperbacks, and one new release I really want to read as well. There are really just too many books and not enough time.
What If It’s Us & Here’s to Us – Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera
I’ve read books by both Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera and really enjoyed them. I’m curious to see how they write together. Isabelle has read What If It’s Us and enjoyed it, so I’m going to read that and its sequel Here’s to Us next month. I own both paperbacks, so it’s time!
Ruthless Fae – Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti
As I’m typing this I’m almost done with The Awakening (the first book in the Zodiac Academy series) and I have to say I’m enjoying it more than expected. I know I’m going to need to know how this continues, so Ruthless Fae is a book I’ll be reading next month.
Darling Venom – Parker S. Huntington
Darling Venom released at the end of last year and it’s a book I keep seeing everywhere now. This book has some heavy subjects from what I’ve heard, so please look them up before you also decide to pick this one up. I have a feeling it’s going to break my heart, but also put me back together again.
Meet Me in the Margins – Melissa Ferguson
Meet Me in the Margins doesn’t release until February 15th, but it’s one I definitely plan on reading. Look at this cute cover! Our main character works for a publishing company, but also hopes to be an author. She accidentally leaves her manuscript behind and when she goes back for it there are notes in the margins. But who did that? I need to know!
The Spanish Love Deception – Elena Armas
The Spanish Love Deception is a book that almost won my swoonalong poll, but was a few votes short. It’s one I still plan on reading though. This book is almost 500 pages and I wasn’t expecting that. This is an enemies-to-lovers, fake dating, romantic comedy. I should’ve picked this one up sooner. I know I’m going to feel that way when I’m done reading it.
Boyfriend Material – Alexis Hall
Another book I’ve been talking about a lot lately is Boyfriend Material. Again another book with fake dating and I have a feeling I’m going to love it. Alexis Hall is definitely an author I need to read more from.
Okay, so that’s a total of 20 books I want to read in February. Almost a book a day, haha. I’m sure I can get pretty far, but there are a few bigger books on this list. So we’ll see how far I get. Have you read any of these? Or what do you plan on reading in February? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you!
Oh, so many fab looking books on your list! I hope you enjoy all of them and good luck as well!
Reminders of Him is also on my list, but I am kind of hesitant to buy the book on Amazon due to reviews about the printing of the book. So I will just have to find another place. XD
As for the rest of my TBR, well, I am never good with monthly TBRs, weeklies are already hard enough as a mood-reader. XD
Love and Other Words is one of my all time favorite CLo books, probably in the top 3 for me, I hope you enjoy it! I haven’t even written my February TBR yet but I should figure it out soon, its just a few days away! Hope you can get to all of these books in Feb!
Missy recently posted…Let’s Talk Bookish: Rereading Books
So many great books! I have read Boyfriend Material and really liked it. Currently reading Here´s to Us and as a theatre geek that is just so much fun because one of the main chatracters loves musical theatre as well 😛
