Bookish Item | Netgalley Backlist Part 6

If you’ve been following the blog for some time now you know I really want to increase my Netgalley feedback ratio. It’s been one of my reading goals for the last few years and I haven’t done a very good job. So I really want to do more of these Netgalley Backlist posts, because it’s reminds me of what I have and hopefully I can get some advice about what I should read first. My last Netgalley Backlist post was in February, so it’s definitely time. Let’s take a look at the next 8 books!

I came across this tag awhile ago and really wanted to do it. It is a pretty hard tag but it was also really fun to think about these scenarios. This tag was created by lindsayheartsbooks years ago haha. But it’s still going round! Let’s jump into those scenarios.  Continue reading “Tag | Bookish Scenarios Book Tag”

Can’t Wait Wednesday | Empire of the Vampire – Jay Kristoff

We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breakingthe Spine. Continue reading “Can’t Wait Wednesday | Empire of the Vampire – Jay Kristoff”

Review| The Guncle – Steven Rowley

Instagram is a place I get a lot of my book recommendations and when The Guncle released in May I saw it all over the place. So many readers were really enthusiastic and I have to say it caught my attention. I’m always afraid of hyped books, because my expectations definitely increase when a book is so loved. I still picked it up and want to talk about what I thought about The Guncle today! Did it live up to my expectations? Keep on reading to find out!

Bookish Item | Bookish Beginnings: All of Us Villains – Amanda Foody & Christine Lynn Herman

It’s time for another Bookish Beginnings. The last one was in February, so it’s been a while, haha. This meme was created by Rose City Reader. The idea is to post the first sentence or so of the book you’re currently reading. After that you talk about your initial thoughts about the sentence, book or anything to do with that. We both got an eARC of All of Us Villains last week and wanted to start reading it right away! Today we’ll share our first thoughts, let’s get into it!
