Bookish Item | Books I’ve Recommended to Friends Lately

Right before the summer break I got my favorite question ever from my coworker/friend. He asked me if I had any book recommendations. And of course I came in with a LONG list of books I thought he might enjoy haha. Another coworker also asked for the list and today I wanted to share which books of that list they have been reading. Let’s jump in! Continue reading “Bookish Item | Books I’ve Recommended to Friends Lately”

Review | Godsgrave – Jay Kristoff

I’ve finally finished a book again! After browsing through some audiobook options I came across Godsgrave and gave it a try. It’s become the first book I finished in almost 6 weeks. You can probably guess if it was enjoyable haha, but let’s take a look at my thoughts anyways. Continue reading “Review | Godsgrave – Jay Kristoff”

Bookish Beginnings on Friday | Empire of the Vampire – Jay Kristoff

The last bookish beginnings was a couple of months ago so I decided it was time for another one! This meme was created by Rose City Reader. The idea is to post the first sentence or so of the book you’re currently reading. After that you talk about your initial thoughts about the sentence, book or anything to do with that. I’m very excited to read Empire of the Vampire but it’s also a bit daunting. But I finally started it! So let’s jump in. Can’t Wait Wednesday | Empire of the Vampire – Jay Kristoff

We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breakingthe Spine. Continue reading “Can’t Wait Wednesday | Empire of the Vampire – Jay Kristoff”

Review| Aurora Rising – Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

Aurora Rising has been a book on my radar since its release. I actually even had it on my shelf the day it released, haha. Except it took me a year to read (oops!), haha. Then again, after reading the ending, I’m happy I waited closer to release day. Let’s talk about what I thought about the first book in The Aurora Cycle!

Review| Dev1at3 – Jay Kristoff

I read and reviewed Lifel1k3 quite some time ago, but didn’t take the time to read the sequel, Dev1at3. Before I started I did a reread of Lifel1k3 and then dived right into Dev1at3. All I can say before starting my review is saying that I’m very happy I decided to wait. After that ending, I need the third and final book. But first, let’s talk about Dev1at3!

Buddy Review| Nevernight – Jay Kristoff

We’ve both wanted to read Nevernight for quite some time, but just hadn’t taken the time to do so. A buddyread got us going. It’s perfect timing as well, because Darkdawn releases in September. Nevernight is a hyped book, so we were curious if it would live up to our expectations. If you want to see if it did, keep on reading!

Review| Lifel1k3 – Jay Kristoff

Jay Kristoff is an author I hear a lot about online in the bookish community. So far, I have only read The Illuminae Files that he wrote together with Amie Kaufman. His book Lifel1k3 has been something I want to read for quite awhile, so when I had the chance to buddyread it with a few people, I signed up!
