If you’ve been following the blog for some time now you know I really want to increase my Netgalley feedback ratio. It’s been one of my reading goals for the last few years and I haven’t done a very good job. So I really want to do more of these Netgalley Backlist posts, because it’s reminds me of what I have and hopefully I can get some advice about what I should read first. My last Netgalley Backlist post was in February, so it’s definitely time. Let’s take a look at the next 8 books!
American Royals – Katharine McGee
Okay, so I even own a physical copy of both American Royals and Majesty now. Which means this definitely should be one of the books I read ASAP. The concept still really interests me. What if America had a royal family? This book sounds like one I’ll love!
A Question of Us – Mary Jane Baker
A Question of Us is honestly one I forgot I had, but the cover definitely has me curious all over again. Best friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes and this author added pub quizzes. I love games and quizzes, so there’s so much I could love! I need to add this to my list to read very soon (which I’ll probably say about all books on this list).
CatFishing on CatNet – Naomi Kritzer
Who wouldn’t love a social media site to upload cat pictures? That would definitely be a happy place for me. This is actually science fiction and there seems to be more behind this website. This sounds like it will be an interesting ride.
The Tenth Girl – Sara Faring
I have to start off by saying that this cover looks pretty creepy. I’ve been reading more horror lately and darker stories and have been loving it! The Tenth Girl isn’t a book I’m sure about though. Isabelle started reading it, but only read 15% before it became a DNF and the rating on Goodreads is a 2.92. I have to say that makes me worried. If you’ve read this one, please let me know what you thought.
Kingdom of Souls – Rena Barron
All I have to read is magic and witch-doctors to know I want to see what this is about. I remember a lot of people talking about Kingdom of Souls around its release in 2019.
It Won’t Be Christmas Without You – Beth Reekles
I love everything Christmas, so how could I say no to this title and cover. And I’m just now really noticing it was written by the author who wrote The Kissing Booth. I’ve only seen the movies so far, but they were so much fun. The main character seems to love Christmas as much as I do, so even though it’s only August I may need this in my life soon.
The Beautiful – Renee Ahdieh
The Beautiful is actually a book I started reading and I think I even got to over 23%. I’m someone who can be really easily distracted, so I ended up not getting any further. I loved what I had read so far and truly believe this will be a book I love. The third book is releasing soon, so I need to get at it!
Girls of Storm and Shadow – Natasha Ngan
If I’m honest I still need to read Girls of Paper and Fire before I can start this one. I’ve heard a lot of good things about both of these books. Just look at this stunning cover! There really needs to be more time in the day, so I can get to all of the books I want to read.
So these are the next 8 books on my Netgalley backlist. It’s pretty sad that I forgot I had a few of these. Have you read any of these? What ones should I start with first? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
