We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

These last two weeks have actually been a bit busier than normal. My mother and I decided to go on a little shopping trip and went out to lunch. It was the first time in over a year and a half and I have to say it was really weird sitting inside somewhere having lunch. It’s going to take some getting used to! Isabelle also stopped by. It was nice seeing her again and we played a new board game The Big Book of Madness.

I also had my second vaccination and wow I was sick. I really felt like I was hit by a bus, so I spent the weekend on the couch with books and movies. I’m just happy it’s over with and I’m back on the mend. Book was a bit busier this last week, because many people were on vacation, but that’s going back to normal as well. And yesterday we visited the boyfriend’s parents for a BBQ. Unfortunately, it was raining, but we still made it happen.

This week I added five new e-arcs to my Kindle. I’m excited to read all of these!

Since my last Royal Update I finished reading The Library of the Unwritten, Hydra, Contagion, One Last Stop, Isn’t it Bromantic?, Malibu Rising and Written in the Stars.

I’m currently reading Serpent & Dove, Six Crimson Cranes, Half Sick of Shadows, Pet, Changeling, Down with This Ship, and Like a Love Song.

This week I’ll be giving How Moon Fuentez Fell in Love with the Universe, Big Witch Energy, The Ex Talk, and Riley Thorn and the Dead Guy Next Door.

There were a few cover reveals this week, but there’s one I definitely want to share. Kendare Blake wrote a Buffy the Vampire Slayer retelling and I LOVE the cover!!

For once I can actually say I bought something, haha. I went out with my mother last week and we had lunch and did some shopping. I bought two sweaters. It’s not cold enough to wear them yet, but I can’t wait until it is!

When I didn’t really feel well I decided to finally sit down and watch After and After We Collided. I went through the books really quickly. Yeah, they’re over the top, really dramatic and pretty problematic, but it was an interesting ride. For a book adaptation they did pretty well! I’ll definitely be watching the third movie when it releases.

I’ve been trying to listen to some artists I haven’t heard in awhile. Zara Larsson is one of those artists. This is an album I hadn’t listened to yet, so it was fun hearing new songs.
