Last week I finished watching Atypical. I had been looking forward to the last season for a while now! Although it was also dreading it, as it’s the final season and it’s all done now. I love this show a lot and I’m sad it’s over. But first I get to discuss it will all of you! So let’s get into it.
There will be spoilers for the previous seasons (1-3)

Sam, an 18-year-old on the autism spectrum, decides it’s time to find a girlfriend, a journey that sets Sam’s mom on her own life-changing path as her son seeks more independence.

July 9th the final season of Atypical was released. It’s the fourth season and it has 10 episodes. Last season Sam started university, Casey got a girlfriend, the parents slowly worked through their struggles and we just laughed a lot.

For this last season I wasn’t really sure what to expect and what to hope for. I just wanted a last amazing season but I didn’t have an ending in mind. And that’s quite nice because it’s harder to be disappointed that way haha.

I can definitely say I was not disappointed though! We got 10 amazing episodes, there was a focus on everyone and I loved the storylines. I also loved loved loved the ending and definitely shed some tears haha.

I don’t want to say to much about the storylines in this fourth season because I think it’s nice to discover that for yourself. For me they were pretty surprising and I wouldn’t want to ruin that experience for anyone else. I will say that I loved them a lot. Sam’s storyline was just amazing and all I could hope for in this final season.

Casey and Izzie got together in the previous season and in these last episodes they get to explore their relationship. That definitely goes with their ups and downs but overall I thought they were really cute! Zahid was a lot of fun as always, I love his interactions with Sam but I appreciated the heartfelt moments even more. Paige managed to really win me over this season! And I think Elsa made some nice progress haha.

Overall I just loved this last season and I definitely want to rewatch the show at some point. Have you seen this show? And the last season? What did you think? Let me know down below!
