Its been a while since our last Book Beginnings on Friday! But today seemed like a good day to do another one. This meme was created by Rose City Reader. The idea is to post the first sentence or so of the book you’re currently reading. After that you talk about your initial thoughts about the sentence, book or anything to do with that. I don’t know how often we will do this, but it seems like fun from time to time. Today’s book is This Is Our Story by Ashley Elston, so let’s take a look! Bookish Item| Would I Still Feel The Same About These Books?
I don’t reread as often as I’d like, but when I have, so far I’ve still loved the books or loved them even more the second time around. That got me thinking about books I read a few years ago, or even before the blog! Today I want to talk about a few of these books/series, so I can plan a reread in the future, so I can answer the question: Would I still feel the same about these books?

Bookish Item| Netgalley Backlist Part 3
One of my reading goals this year is to get my Netgalley feedback ratio up to 80%. It’s the end of October and I’m still at 62% as I’m typing this, haha. So it’s not going exactly as planned. I’ve talked about my Netgalley Backlist before (Part 1 was written by Isabelle and Part 2 has been posted by me in July) and I thought it was time to make another post. Remind myself about the books I need to get to. Let’s take a look!
Bookish Item | Can’t Wait Wednesday
After sitting behind my laptop for awhile trying to decide what I wanted to post today, I decided to go with a meme we haven’t tried before: Can’t Wait Wednesday!
Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.
Bookish Item| It’s Monday, What Am I Reading? #4
After looking around to find a new meme for Monday, I stumbled upon: Monday, What am I reading? This is kind of like Whatcha Reading Wednesday, but it fits better today. This meme is hosted by Book Date!
So let’s take a look at what I recently read and what I am reading now and what I am going to pick up during this week.

Event Impression| YALFU Featuring V.E. Schwab
As a reader, it’s always amazing when you can meet the person behind the books that you’ve come to love. Being in the Netherlands we don’t always get a lot of authors here. Sometimes we’re lucky, like we were last Sunday! Publishing companies organized YALFU and V.E. Schwab was one of the visitiors! Today we want to talk about this event!

Bookish Item| Signed Books Part 2
As a book lover, there’s nothing like meeting the authors behind your favorite books. This time I didn’t actually get to meet the authors, but a friend of mine did and had a few books signed for me! In the past I have written about my signed books and thought it would be fun to do another post! Let’s check out the signed books I’ve recently added to my collection.
Bookish Item | Spook-a-thon TBR
Earlier this week, you read our Halloween swap wishlists. On top of the Halloween swap, our friend Kwante, is also hosting a readathon. This one starts on October 13th until October 20th. We couldn’t resist participating, so today we’re sharing our Spook-a-thon TBR! Let’s take a look.
Bookish Item | Recommending My Favorite Fake Dating Books
After doing a reread of Adorkable last month I thought it would be fun to recommend some of my favorite Fake Dating books. As you might remember from my TTT about my favorite tropes, the fake dating trope is one I like most. While I don’t read that many books where the romance is the main focus, every now and then I like to read those fluffy and cute ones, especially when they have a fake dating something going on. Let’s see which one’s I’ve enjoyed so far! Continue reading “Bookish Item | Recommending My Favorite Fake Dating Books”
Bookish Item | Gilmore Girls Readathon
