I don’t reread as often as I’d like, but when I have, so far I’ve still loved the books or loved them even more the second time around. That got me thinking about books I read a few years ago, or even before the blog! Today I want to talk about a few of these books/series, so I can plan a reread in the future, so I can answer the question: Would I still feel the same about these books?
It’s the beginnning of November and I’m definitely starting to think about goals for next year. Of course, I’ll have the Goodreads challenge, etc. On top of that, I want to take the goal I had to re-read books more this year more serious in 2020!
To make this goal just a little more interesting, I want to re-read a few books or series from quite awhile ago. I’m curious to see if I’ll still love them as much as I did then. Seeing how I’ve read a lot since then and my taste has changed a bit! So let’s talk about the ones I’m curious about.
After – Anna Todd
I read this series back in 2015! So, it’s been over four years. This series seems to be one that people love or hate. I happened to be someone who loved them! I couldn’t put these books down and they’re not tiny. So I want to revisit them and see if I’m still a big fan.
Mara Dyer – Michelle Hodkin
The Mara Dyer trilogy is one I talk about a lot! I also read this one in 2015 and was really impressed. Multiple times this year, I’ve said I need to reread all three. So, next year I really need to. I hope I love them just as much, because I have the first two book in this spin-off trilogy as well I want to get to!
The Royals – Erin Watt
I actually haven’t finished The Royals series yet. Once again, I’ve been distracted by way too many other books. Also, this is another series people either seem to love or hate. I loved the first two books, but will I love them enough again to continue the series? I can at least say that I’m still a big fan of the covers!
Vampire Academy – Richelle Mead
If I’m honest, I kind of forgot about this one for awhile. I have two books to go to complete the series. The first four books were definitely interesting and I’m curious to see how it all plays out. Again, I’ve read a lot since then, so I wonder if I’ll still feel the same.
I decided to concentrate on series this time around, so I’ll have to write a post about standalones soon! Have you ever wondered if you’d feel the same about some books after awhile?
