I’ve talked about my ‘fear’ of reading big books before and I want to talk about it some more today! While I usually love the big books I read, I also have trouble picking them up haha. They can be so intimidating! I love watching Emily Fox on Youtube and she started doing a big books challenge in 2018 (I think that’s when she started). She puts 12 big books in a mug and picks one each month to read. And I figured why not do something similar? Continue reading “Bookish Item | Challenging Myself to Read Big Books”

Bookish Item| F Is For Friday #2
In June I discovered F Is For Friday created by Nomadic Worlds. It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these posts, so it’s time to write one again. Let’s take a look again to see what it’s all about!
Bookish Item| 20 Books I Want to Read Before 2020 Part 2
Last week Isabelle posted her 20 Books to Read Before 2020 and this got me thinking. We’re close to starting the last four months of the year and there are definitely some books I still really need to read. Since we’ve started this blog I’ve not really been good at completing my lists, but I’m giving it another go. So today is 20 Books I want to Read Before 2020 Part 2.

Bookish Item | 20 Books I Want to Read Before 2020
Last year I did a post about 19 books I wanted to read before 2019, and earlier this week I gave an update about how many I ended up reading. With about 20 weeks to go until the end of the year, I thought it would be fitting to do a 20 before 2020. This list is a mix of books that I preordered, new releases I expect to buy or will hopefully pop up on Storytel, ones that are already on Storytel and ones already on my shelves! Bookish Item| My Castlefest Haul
For the past five or six years, every August, I my boyfriend and I go help at Castlefest. It’s a four day festival here in The Netherlands. This year Isabelle even joined us for a couple of days. For the first time I had Saturday off and of course while we walked around, I did some shopping.
So today, I’m going to share my castlfest haul. I’d say it’s a fun festival, if I can buy books there, haha.
Bookish Item | 19 before 2019, Did I Read Them?
Last year I did a post about 19 books I wanted to read before 2019. Since we’re about 20 weeks out from 2020, I thought it would be fun to do a 20 before 2020. However, it seems fitting to first take a look at the books I wanted to read before 2019. Did I end up reading them all? Do you want to place any bets? Let’s take a look at that list! Continue reading “Bookish Item | 19 before 2019, Did I Read Them?”
Bookish Item| My First Experience with Audiobooks
Audiobooks are everywhere these days. When I’m on Facebook, Instagram and even other blogs, I see so many people listening to audiobooks. I know Isabelle is a big fan of them and has been able to read so much more since she started listening to audiobooks.
I’ve always thought they weren’t for me, but I was really curious. So today I have a post about My First Experience with Audiobooks.

Bookish Item | Goodreads Clean Up
Last week I was adding a bunch of reviews I had posted on the blog to Goodreads. Apparently I’m not as good with keeping up with my GR as I thought I was haha. While talking with some friends, I also realized I have way too many books on my want to read shelf. So I decided to take a serious look at that shelf and get rid of a bunch of books. We did some Down the TBR Hole posts for this a while ago, but it wasn’t going fast enough so I’m going to try this! Let’s see which books I’m getting rid off. Bookish Item | Playlist for Daisy Jones & the Six
This week I’m participating in an Adult Readathon and I’ve already read 3 adult books! And one of those book was Daisy Jones & the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid. If I’m being honest, I wasn’t planning on reading it, but the audiobook is on Storytel so I decided to go for it. And surprisingly I enjoyed it a lot! The book is about a fictional band and music is the most important ingredient in the book. So while reading it, I was wishing for the music to be real haha. I thought it would be fun to make a little playlist for you guys, maybe to put on while you’re reading Daisy Jones & the Six. Let’s see what I picked out! Continue reading “Bookish Item | Playlist for Daisy Jones & the Six”
Bookish Item | Unhaul
Now this is a post I have never made before and I don’t think it will happen a lot after this one either. But I got some new bookshelves and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to get rid of some books I didn’t like and ones I don’t think I will ever read. So this is my very first unhaul! As you might have read last week, I did the Try A Chapter Book Tag to try and get rid of some books. Check that one out if you haven’t yet and come back here to see what books I’m unhauling today! Let’s dive in. Continue reading “Bookish Item | Unhaul”
