Event Impression| YALFU Featuring V.E. Schwab

As a reader, it’s always amazing when you can meet the person behind the books that you’ve come to love. Being in the Netherlands we don’t always get a lot of authors here. Sometimes we’re lucky, like we were last Sunday! Publishing companies organized YALFU and V.E. Schwab was one of the visitiors! Today we want to talk about this event!

TTT #101 | 5 Star Predictions

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Extraordinary Titles and I just couldn’t think of anything! I had zero inspiration so I decided to pick another topic. And one that I previously enjoyed and really wanted to do again was the 5 star predictions. I’ll pick 10 books I think I’ll rate 5 stars. And I decided to go with books that will be releasing in the upcoming months! So let’s get into it! Continue reading “TTT #101 | 5 Star Predictions”

Review Blast| Awk-Weird – Avery Flynn

As a big fan of sports romances, especially ones with hockey, I knew I needed to read Awk-weird. I love that romance books are starting to get covers like these! They are so pretty. Today I get to tell you what I thought about this latest book in the Ice Knights series.

A bit thanks to Entangled and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for providing me with an ARC on Netgalley to read and review.

Bookish Item| Signed Books Part 2

As a book lover, there’s nothing like meeting the authors behind your favorite books. This time I didn’t actually get to meet the authors, but a friend of mine did and had a few books signed for me! In the past I have written about my signed books and thought it would be fun to do another post! Let’s check out the signed books I’ve recently added to my collection.

Down the TBR Hole #20

It’s been a month since I’ve done a Down the TBR Hole that I thought it would be a good time to do one again. My Want to Read shelf on Goodreads has increased again, so it’s time to take a look again!

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started! Continue reading “Down the TBR Hole #20”

Review | The Turn Of The Key – Ruth Ware

October is the perfect month to read thrillers, so I decided I wanted to share a thriller review with you all today. Recently I listened to the audiobook off The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware. I listened to it in two days and only stopped in between because I had to be social for a couple of hours haha. Because it’s a thriller, I would recommend not reading the synopsis as they usually reveal a little bit too much in my opinion. Let’s get into it! Blog Tour | Getting Played – Emma Chase

After reading Getting Schooled last year, I knew I would want to read more from Emma Chase. When she announced Dean getting his own story in Getting Played, I was very excited! This book didn’t disappoint and I’m excited to tell you what I thought about this book today! There is also a little excerpt, so make sure to check that out as well.

A big thanks to the author and Social Butterfly PR for providing an ARC to read and review.

Tag | Halloween Creatures Book Tag

The month of October is perfect for all things spooky and creepy so I figured I’d look for a Halloween tag for you all. I found the Halloween Creatures Book tag over at Meltingpotsandothercalamaties and it was originally created by Anthony from Keep Reading Forward. This was a really fun tag to do and I made some simple images to go with the questions. Let’s get into it! Continue reading “Tag | Halloween Creatures Book Tag”
