Review Blast| Down Too Deep – J. Daniels

I’ve been a fan of J. Daniels’ books since reading the first Alabama Summer book. She hasn’t written a book I haven’t loved yet and when I heard about Down Too Deep, I was so excited!! Nate is a character I really wanted to read more about and my wish was granted.

A big thanks to the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for providing me with an ARC on Netgalley!

Wishlist Wednesday | Halloween Swap Wishlist

Both of us love Halloween and book swaps. When our friend Kwante, from Kwante in Wonderland, announced she was hosting the Spook-a-swap. We knew we needed to participate. Basically it’s like a Secret Santa, but for Halloween. Everyone gets a person they make a little bookish package in Halloween style. We both decided to participate, so today we’re sharing our Halloween Swap Wishlist.

TTT #100 | Character Traits I Love

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Character Traits I Love. It’s hard to think of specific traits, but I’ll try to choose ten based on some of the characters I love!

Looking Back At Our Bookhauls | September 2018

Every month we add books to our collections, but we’ve been curious about how much of them we actually read. In Looking Back at Our Bookhauls, we take a look at our hauls from the year before. What have we read and what do we still need to read? We hope this motivates us more to get to our unread books and maybe buy a little less. Even if this doesn’t always work, haha. Today we’re looking back at our book hauls from September 2018.

Blog Tour | Beard with Me – Penny Reid

The Winston Brothers series is one that I need to catch up on, I’ve only read Dr. Strange Beard. Luckily, for Beard with Me, reading the previous books isn’t a must. This is a standalone and background story for a couple of the characters. A big thanks to the author and Social Butterfly PR for providing me with an ARC to read and review.

A little warning before my review and a little excerpt. The author warns us of a lot of triggers and this book is really intense, so be aware when you pick this one up!

Bookish Item | Recommending My Favorite Fake Dating Books

After doing a reread of Adorkable last month I thought it would be fun to recommend some of my favorite Fake Dating books. As you might remember from my TTT about my favorite tropes, the fake dating trope is one I like most. While I don’t read that many books where the romance is the main focus, every now and then I like to read those fluffy and cute ones, especially when they have a fake dating something going on. Let’s see which one’s I’ve enjoyed so far! Continue reading “Bookish Item | Recommending My Favorite Fake Dating Books”

Review| Rowan Revived – Taylor Danae Colbert

Taylor Danae Colbert is an author that surprises me every time she releases a new book. I never know what to expect, because she can write so many things, we’ve had a book filled with girl power, a rock star romance and even best friends to lovers (Bumps Along the way, Off the Record, It Goes Without Saying). Rowan Revived, her newest book, is out today and I’ve had the honor to read her next amazing book!

A big thanks to the author for providing me with an ARC to read and review. Also, this book does deal with some heavy subjects that may be hard for some to read.
