I’ve been a fan of J. Daniels’ books since reading the first Alabama Summer book. She hasn’t written a book I haven’t loved yet and when I heard about Down Too Deep, I was so excited!! Nate is a character I really wanted to read more about and my wish was granted.
A big thanks to the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for providing me with an ARC on Netgalley!

After reading the first two chapters I knew I was going to love this book. It hooked me from the start and really hit me in all the feels. Down Too Deep is the perfect combination of humor, romance, steamy moments, healing, family and love! Even though I loved how this story ended, I was sad when it was over. If I could live with these characters forever I would.
Jenna is a single mom of two adorable twins and if her kids are happy, she is happy. I loved how strong Jenna is. Even though the father of her two children didn’t want anything to do with them, she found her way and would do anything to make these two happy. She’s independent, a hard worker, has a big heart and is just a character you can’t help but love.
Nate is a character I could even write a book about, haha. After losing his wife, grief took over (and who can blame him after how it all went down). Except he stopped living and his little girl needed him. When he gets a little wake up call, his world turns upside down again, but this time in a good way. I loved seeing him open himself up and learn more about his little girl. Marley is the sweetest thing and all the scenes with her in it had me smiling. Nate is so much stronger than he thinks and his journey in this book put him on the top of my book boyfriend list.
And don’t get me started about Nate and Jenna together. I love how they unexpectedly end up in each other’s lives and the connection you feel. Their chemistry is a lot of fun and the flirting kept a smile on my face. They just fit together and I loved how natural it felt. I can keep going on and on about how much I felt this book, but I think that says enough. Down Too Deep is just a book you need to read and feel for yourself. J. Daniels has a way of making you love her characters and I just can’t get enough.
On top of these amazing characters, we also get a glimpse of the other characters we met along the way in the Dirty Deeds series. This book is so worth the time!!
