I’ve been reading some graphic novels recently and I thought it would be great to do some more mini reviews for them. While I love reading graphic novels and I like to talk about them, I usually don’t have enough to say for a normal sized review. So I like to do it this way! Today I’ll be talking about 2 eARC’s and one graphic novel I owned myself. Let’s jump in! Continue reading “Mini Reviews | Riverdale: The Ties That Bind & Monstress vol. 3 & Quincredible vol. 1”
Every now and then I read a bunch of graphic novels or comics in a row. I love reading them, they’re quick reads and I really enjoy looking at all of the gorgeous art. There are also a lot of comics that are connected to tv shows or movies and that is just amazing. So let’s dive into my 3 minireviews for today!

Every month I get the Tor.com newsletter and with that comes a free ebook. Last month that was The Haunting of Tram Car 015. That title immediately grabbed my attention, probably because 015 is my area code, and I looked the story up on Goodreads. I found out this novella was the second in a series and that the first short story was for free on Tor.com as well. So I decided to read both as soon as possible. And I’m so happy I did! So today I have a mini review for both stories. Let’s jump in. Continue reading “Mini Reviews | A Dead Djinn in Cairo & The Haunting of Tram Car 015 – P. Djèlí Clark”
Scribd gives out a free month long trial because of the worldwide quarantine. So of course I made use of that! I had a couple of graphic novels on my to read list I wanted to try through Scribd. As soon as I started my free trial, I picked up Goldie Vance. I believe there are currently 4 volumes but Scribd limits you and I wasn’t able to read the fourth volume. So today I want to talk about the first 3 volumes. Let’s dive in! Continue reading “Mini Reviews | Goldie Vance vol 1 – 3 – Hope Larson & Brittney Williams”
After seeing The Kiss Quotient & The Bride Test everywhere, I’ve been wanting to read them. After hearing Isabelle and other friends being really positive about these books, I knew I neeed to give them a go. I finally got a chance to read them and want to share my reviews with you today!
Wow, I can’t believe this is the tenth edition of the comics mini reviews already! That means after today I have reviewed 30 comics for you all. I still feel very much like a comic newbie, but I like seeing I’m slowly reading more and more of them. Hopefully you all enjoy them too! For today I have a very new comic and two not so new ones haha. Let’s get into it quickly. Continue reading “Mini Reviews | Comics Edition #10”
It’s been quite a while since I did my first (and last) manga edition of the mini reviews, so I thought today would be a great day to another one. I have read a couple of manga since doing those reviews and I’m quite excited to talk about those! So without further ado, let’s get into it! Continue reading “Mini Reviews | Manga Edition #2”
I don’t read a lot of poetry, to be exact I think I’ve read 5 poetry collections in recent years. But I do really enjoy them every now and then. Especially these what I believe to be more modern poetry collections draw my attention. I’m not one to analyze poems, so I like to understand them right away. This definitely is something that factors into my enjoyment of a poetry collection. For today I wanted to talk about two poetry collections, but do keep in mind I’m pretty much a newbie in this genre. Continue reading “Mini Reviews | Poetry Edition”
Last weekend the TBR and Beyond facebook group hosted a Graphic Novel Weekend Read-A-Thon. And while I had a super busy weekend I did manage to read 3 graphic novels. I love reading these quick reads and had gotten a couple for my birthday. After this read-a-thon I only have a couple more GN’s on my TBR, so I guess I can buy some more haha. Let’s take a look at which ones I read this past weekend. Continue reading “Mini Reviews | Comics Edition #9”
Not too long ago there was an author looking for reviews for her books in a group I’m in on Facebook. They sounded really cute, so I decided to give them a try. I read A Braver Version of Me & A Better Version of Me by Cindy Ray Hale. This was a trilogy, but it now being rewritten into a nine book series.
