Scribd gives out a free month long trial because of the worldwide quarantine. So of course I made use of that! I had a couple of graphic novels on my to read list I wanted to try through Scribd. As soon as I started my free trial, I picked up Goldie Vance. I believe there are currently 4 volumes but Scribd limits you and I wasn’t able to read the fourth volume. So today I want to talk about the first 3 volumes. Let’s dive in! Continue reading “Mini Reviews | Goldie Vance vol 1 – 3 – Hope Larson & Brittney Williams”

I don’t read a lot of poetry, to be exact I think I’ve read 5 poetry collections in recent years. But I do really enjoy them every now and then. Especially these what I believe to be more modern poetry collections draw my attention. I’m not one to analyze poems, so I like to understand them right away. This definitely is something that factors into my enjoyment of a poetry collection. For today I wanted to talk about two poetry collections, but do keep in mind I’m pretty much a newbie in this genre. Continue reading “Mini Reviews | Poetry Edition”

I first heard about The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells in one of Emily Fox’s booktube videos and thought it sounded pretty interesting. And then I found out all four of them were available on Scribd. So I binge-listened to them super quickly. They are novellas so they’re all quite short and you will go through them in no time at all. There will be a full length Murderbot novel in 2020 and I’m very excited about that. But for now, let’s see what I thought about the four novellas. Continue reading “Mini Reviews | The Murderbot Diaries – Martha Wells”
