It’s the first day of October which means we are here again to show you what books we added to our collections in September. Were we good or did we add too many books to our overflowing shelves? Find out in our September bookhaul.
Candyce
This month a few books came out that I really wanted! I added a total of six books to my shelves this month and one of them was quite a surprise! Let’s see which ones I bought!
Hocus Pocus & the All-New Sequel – A.W. Jantha
October is the month of Halloween, so I knew I needed this one before October started. At first I didn’t plan on buying it, but a few friends already had the book and it looks so good. The pictures are really cute inside the book. I can’t wait to curl up on the couch with a cup of tea and read this book.
Two Dark Reigns – Kendare Blake
Two Dark Reigns was one of my most anticipated releases this year! The ending of One Dark Throne left us hanging last year, so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. This book was delivered later than expected, but I have already read this one! Now it’s going to be a long wait for the fourth book.
The Iron Flower – Laurie Forest
Earlier this year I read The Black Witch and loved it! I was so upset that I didn’t discover that book sooner. The Iron Flower is the second book in this series and I can’t wait to dive in. Luckily, I haven’t read the novellas yet, so I will have something to keep me occupied until the next book.
A Touch of Gold – Annie Sullivan
This book actually was released a few weeks ago, but it took a bit longer for it to be delivered to me, haha. I love this cover and the book sounds really interesting. There will be a group read in TBR & Beyond in November, so that is when I will be reading A Touch of Gold.
The Universe is Expanding and So Am I – Carolyn Mackler
I actually received an ARC of this on Netgalley and I remember downloading it. For some reason I can’t find it anywhere on my Kindle app. So I decided to buy my copy, so I can read and review. I love this cover and the book sounds good. Even though this cover screams summer, I will be picking it up before the end of the year.
An Heir in Shadow – Sofia Drake
In another Facebook group there was an author takeover this month. Sofia Drake had a readalong of her book An Heir in Shadow. I have a digital copy and have read about 20%. I am loving it so far. During the takeover I won an artprint for this book, so when I got a package last week I wasn’t expecting a signed copy of the book. I am so happy I get to add this to my collection. Authors are so sweet!
Isabelle
I’ve been so good this month! Only 3 new books are added to my ever growing collection, and I already read one of them. Also, I read 4 books this month that were previously unread on my shelves so I guess my TBR actually shrank in September!
Two Dark Reigns – Kendare Blake
I already read this one, we had a buddy review last week. This series has become one of my absolute favorite YA fantasy series and I’m so excited for the fourth and final book, even though we have to wait until next year haha.
Mirage – Somaiya Daud
This was the Fairyloot book of the month and it was one I was really looking forward to. We got a exclusive cover and sprayed edges so the book look so cool. The story sounds really intriguing as well and I hope to pick this book up before the end of the year. It sounds like a story I would highly enjoy.
Vengeful – V.E. Schwab
This book came in the special Illumicrate this month and I was so extremely excited. The box was filled so well and with all quality stuff. I started reading this book last night and so far it’s grabbed my attention quickly and we’re off to a great start.
So this is what we added to our collections this month. Have you read any of them? What did you think?
Great Haul!! And I love your fall themed background in your pics <3 Mirage was the book in my Owl Crate box this month, but I like the Fairy Loot cover much better!
I haven’t seen the Owlcrate edition yet but yes, definitely happy with the Fairyloot edition! And I’m so happy with those sprayed edges <3
