Event Impression| YALFest 2018

We weren’t even planning on going to YALFest this year. When the authors were announced, we didn’t know any of them and most of the books weren’t going to be published until a month before YALFest 2018. In the end, after reading one of the author’s books, we just had to go!

TTT #28| Best Character Names

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since last January Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is an interesting one. Best Character Names. The ten I chose made the list, because I like the sound of them or I think that they fit the character.

Cover Reveal| Flip Trick – Amo Jones

Flip Trick by Amo Jones sounds like it’s going to be a really good book. Amo Jones is an author that is new to me, but I have heard many great things about her other books. Today I get to show you all the cover and you can read the sypnosis as well.

Blog Tour| One Baby Daddy – Meghan Quinn

One Baby Daddy is the second book I’ve read by Meghan Quinn. Last year I read Dear Life and was really impressed. That book had me in tears and left me wanting more. She has released more books since then, but I haven’t had the chance to read them. My next book by her was One Baby Daddy. It’s a romance with sports, my favorite kind. If you want to know what I thought of this book, keep on reading!

Blog Tour| The Brightsiders – Jen Wilde

The start of this review actually has a funny story. When I saw the signup for The Brightsiders, I didn’t realize Jen Wilde is also the author of Queens of Geek. I loved that book, so I was actually really excited to start The Brightsiders. If it lived up to my expectations, which were pretty high after reading Queens of Geek, is something you can read in this review!

How I Met My Book #12| The Naturals – Jennifer Lynn Barnes

We were looking for something to post on Sundays when we don’t have anything planned. Then I saw a post on Early Bookish Bird‘s blog and it seemed like the perfect fit. She started #howimetmybook so we’re alternating between #howimetmybook and Down the TBR hole on Sundays from now on! Today I will be posting about how I met The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes.

In this post we tell the story behind our books. The following questions will be answered: Where did we get the book? Why did we pick it up? What made us pick it up in the first place?

Review | Daughter of the Pirate King – Tricia Levenseller

Last year Owlcrate had a shop wide discount for a couple of their previous boxes and I obviously couldn’t contain myself haha. One of the boxes had a sea theme and since I already knew what was in the box I had to get it. The book that was included was Daughter of the Pirate King and for the longest time I planned on reading it…. We all know how that goes right 😉 Luckily I finally managed to pick it up and I devoured it in one sitting!  Continue reading “Review | Daughter of the Pirate King – Tricia Levenseller”

Bookish Item | Series I Need to Finish

I love reading series over stand alones but I do tend to start more series than I finish! Today I wanted to share some of the series I still need to finish with you all. To not make this an insanely long post I decided to keep it to the series I completely own in physical form. And only series I have already started. Maybe next time I’ll do a post with the series I don’t completely own or the series I have as ebooks or audiobooks. But as I said, today I will share the series I own and have started. Curious to see what those are? Keep on reading! Continue reading “Bookish Item | Series I Need to Finish”

Tag | An Ember in the Ashes Booktag

I love watching booktube videos on YouTube and about a week or two ago I watched a fun video by one of my favorite booktubers: Super Space Chick. She created the An Ember in the Ashes Booktag and I thought it would be fun to do that one today. I really enjoyed the first two books in this series and I’m excited for the third book to come out. The questions in this tag are not ones I’ve seen in many other tags so I’m excited to do this! Let’s get started. Continue reading “Tag | An Ember in the Ashes Booktag”

Blog Tour| The Wright Love – K.A. Linde

Last year when I read The Wright Secret, I really hoped Sutton would get a happily ever after. She was grieving the loss of her husband and it was hard seeing her family so happy. K.A. Linde gave us what we asked for though. Sutton is getting two books! The first one The Wright Love was released yesterday. I read it an loved it. Today I’m participating in the blog tour.
