Last year when I read The Wright Secret, I really hoped Sutton would get a happily ever after. She was grieving the loss of her husband and it was hard seeing her family so happy. K.A. Linde gave us what we asked for though. Sutton is getting two books! The first one The Wright Love was released yesterday. I read it an loved it. Today I’m participating in the blog tour.

Cover I love the black and white of this cover with the little bit of yellow in the cover. This cover is very tasteful.

Plot Sutton is only 24 and is already a widow. I can’t imagine what it’s like losing the person you love so much, especially with a little boy who needs his father. An underlying heart condition is something that isn’t always detected. That’s pretty scary. How do you move on after something like that? When you have your whole life planned with someone, it’s hard to pull the switch and be open to something new. K.A. Linde was able to make us feel sadness (nowhere near to what someone actually feels in that situation of course) and I always think it’s amazing when an author can do that. David seems like an amazing guy. I liked him in The Wright Secret. He is so in love, but knows he can’t push. What I loved about this book, was that we slowly saw Sutton lower her walls. Jason was the cutest thing and I loved how he always had to be with Bethany, haha. Maybe a future book in the making? Once again it was great to see all of the Wright siblings again. Even though this book is about Sutton, we get to see how the rest of the family is doing. This wouldn’t be a romance without a little drama and  that was the case. The secret that came out at the end left me sitting with a shocked look on my face. My only complaint was that this book was too short, haha. I want more David and Sutton. Luckily, we don’t have to wait long for the second book in this duet.

Characters Sutton lost the love of her life and is trying to find a way to go on. She’s really insecure, can she raise her son without his father? Is it okay for her to move on? Even though she is insecure, she’s stronger than she thinks. I loved seeing her move on in her own ways, just taking the job at the bakery made such a difference. I felt bad for her though that when she was finally letting go of her walls people were trying to tell her she shouldn’t move on. Everybody has their own way of moving on. There is no time frame. Hopefully her great support system will continue to show her she’s a great mother and person. Sutton deserves a happy life filled with love.

David was a character I liked when I read The Wright Secret. He seemed sweet and sensitive. David doesn’t mind working hard. He is finally happy where he is and wants to settle down where he is. His feelings for Sutton were there from the start and since her husband died, he has been trying to bet here for her. David is willing to be just friends if that makes her happy, but it’s clear he wants more. I love how caring he is with her and her little boy. It’s clear there are some family issues, but it’s not something he wants to talk about. After the secret reveal at the end, I totally get why. David deserves a chance at happiness. Will he get it?
