Every Heart a Doorway has gotten quite some attention in my bookish circle, or at least it feels that way. This book had been on my want-to-read for a while now and seeing everyone gushing about it had made me want to read it even more. When we had a pride event last month in the Facebookgroup TBR and Beyond I figured that was the perfect opportunity to finally pick up Every Heart a Doorway. And so I did! Did the book live up to my expectations? Read on to find out! Continue reading “Review | Every Heart a Doorway – Seanan McGuire”
Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story, and I found it over at Howling Libraries. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 15 books at a time so lets get started! Continue reading “Down the TBR Hole #10”
The Art of Taking Chances is a collection of short stories. All of these stories are young adult and contemporary (romance). I was introduced to this anthology through Kayla Tirrell. I have read and reviewed a few of her books this past year and loved them! When I heard she would also be writing a story, I needed to read it. The Art of Taking Chances is also a perfect summer read! Today I have a review of the whole book and for each short story!
Today we want to talk about bookish movies. Lately, a lot of books are being filmed. As a book lover, this can be amazing, but also very risky. Everyone who reads a book pictures things a certain way. Can a movie capture what you imagine when you read a book? We want to talk about some of the bookish movies we’ve seen and what we think.
Today I get to help spread the word about the cover reveal for Hold You Close. Melanie Harlow and Corinne Michaels teamed up to write together. Hold You Close is the first book in what I believe will be a duet. Here you can see the cover and read the sypnosis.
Sarina Bowen is an author I have read a few books from. She is mostly known for her romance books and she’s good at them. Not too long ago she announced her first YA book: The Accidentals! This book was released yesterday. Today I want to share my review and a little excerpt. So if you’re curious, keep on reading!
This year is flying by, so we decided to look back on the last six months. Today’s Wishlist Wednesday is about 2018 releases we still want to get. There are plenty of releases that will be coming out the last six months of 2018, but you will see those in our anticipated releases posts!
We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since last January Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday is the Best Books I’ve Read In 2018 (So Far), which was actually pretty hard! I read 85 books already and rated 22 of those 5 stars. So I had to make a selection as to which 10 of those were the absolute best one’s I’ve read. Turned out, 11 of those were rereads so I had only 11 left haha. These will be in a random order. Are you curious? Let’s take a look! Continue reading “TTT #35 | Best Books I’ve Read In 2018 (So Far)”
