Review| Picking the Corners – Ashley K. Broome

As a fan of sports romances I’m always curious to read a new one when I see it. I read her book Playing the Point last year. I did enjoy it, but there were a few things that I didn’t like. This is Ashley K. Broome’s next sports romance. Another hockey romance, but a different team this time.

Review| Begin Again – Anthology Part 2

I received this book to review and while these short stories aren’t easy to read, I want to support the cause. Suicide and mental illness are still subjects that aren’t easily talked about and people are afraid of what people may think about them. These are some things that I have experienced in my family, so for me it’s even more important that people feel that they can talk to someone when they need to! This anthology has 21 short stories, so I will be posting a review of a few of them every week for the next few weeks! This is the second week I will be posting my review.

*WARNING* This book can have triggers for people. It discusses suicide and other mental illnesses and I can completely understand that this book won’t be for everyone!

Review| The Edge of Juniper – Lora Richardson

I’m a big fan of contemporary books, so this one seemed really interesting to me. It was nice to see that there are authors that take on some more serious subjects in their contemporary books. I love helping authors who deserve a lot more attention than they get. To see my thoughts on this book, keep reading.

Review|Buried Alive – Stacey Marie Brown

As a fan of sports romances, I knew I needed to sign up to review this one. I’m happy I did! It’s a good combination of sports, romance and suspense. I had never read a sports romance with snowboarding before, so this was pretty new, but so good. I was also curious to see if this Rhys was just as interesting as the other one I’ve read about.

Review|I Hate Everyone But You – Gaby Dunn & Allison Raskin

I started this book in November, but between working, the holidays, review book and buddy reads this one kept getting put away. The description sounded like something I would love. Best friends who end up going to college on the opposite sides of the country, keep in touch with e-mails and texts. This sounds like a unique way to tell a story. I finally finished it this week, so I can finally tell you guys what I thought of this book.

Review| Tuesdays at Six – K.J. Lewis

I read about this book on Facebook, with the opportunity to sign up and help promote this book. Besides that, I received an ARC to review on release day. All I can say is I’m very happy I decided to sign up or really even saw this on Facebook. This isn’t a book I would’ve wanted to miss. Tuesdays at Six is going to be the book that has to be beat this year. If I could give it more than five stars I would!

Buddy Review| The Afterlife of Holly Chase – Cynthia Hand

We have two days left of this year, so we decided to give you all one more holiday review. Our buddyread this month was The Afterlife of Holly Chase by Cynthia Hand. A retelling of A Christmas Carol seemed like the perfect choice for December.
