Buddy Review| The Exact Opposite of Okay – Laura Steven

It’s the last Saturday of the month, which means we have a buddy review for you all today! A lot of time we manage more than once a month, but we always have one at the end of the month. It’s a lot of fun reading the same book and talking about it while reading. This month we read The Exact Opposite of Okay by Laura Steven.

Review | Zenith – Sasha Alsberg & Lindsay Cummings

While browsing Storytel, my audiobook subsciption, I found they had Zenith! I was pleasantely surprised as I hadn’t expected they would have new English releases. Turns out they do! Almost all of the 2018 books I read so far have been audiobooks haha. A ton of people have said things about Zenith, mostly because Sasha is a super populair Booktuber. I decided to check the book out for myself and will tell you all about it today! Continue reading “Review | Zenith – Sasha Alsberg & Lindsay Cummings”

Buddy Review| Take Your Medicine – Hannah Carmack

Not too long ago an author approached us and asked if we would like to read and review her novella. It was a southern gothic retelling of Alice and Wonderland. This sounded really interesting, so we definitely said yes! It’s always really flattering when an author approaches us like this. Today we are here with our review of Take Your Medicine.

Review| Blue Lily, Lily Blue – Maggie Stiefvater

It took me quite awhile to continue with this series and now that I have read this book I am really wondering why. Well, I know why. I get distracted by other books I want to read and end up having series that I have only read half of. There is definitely a reason why I decided to set the goal of finishing at least 12 series. I decided to read this, because a friend was reading this series and was loving it. Reading a book with someone is always a lot of fun, so I decided to start reading once she got to this one. At the moment I am writing this review, I have started The Raven King. So, this will be one of the first series I actually finish this year. I just want to make sure to write this before I start confusing the last two books.

Buddy Review| The Beauty of Darkness – Mary E. Pearson

We reviewed The Heart of Betrayal not too long ago, so we decided the last book needed to be read soon after that. After having quite a lot of time between the first two books, it’s easy to forget things. This is the last book and we didn’t want that to happen again.

Buddy Review| My Lady Jane – Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton & Jodi Meadows

My Lady Jane is a book we have bothx wanted to read for a very long time! We have been talking about it for awhile and finally decided to read it. After hearing so much about it, we were curious to see if it would meet our expectations.

Review| Goodbye, Good Girl – Renee Blossom

I received a copy of this book from Xpresso Book Tours in exhange for a review. When I read about this book is sounded really interesting. The main character even shares my name (even though it’s spelled differently), so I knew I had to give it a try. Unfortunately it wasn’t what I expected and I was quite disappointed.

Review | Truthwitch – Susan Dennard

Truthwitch by Susan Dennard had been on my wishlist for quite a while and almost a year ago I finally added it to my collection. After that it still took me a while to actually pick it up even though I heard so many good things about it. BUT this winter, I finally picked it up for a buddy read with my friend Willemijn. Today I’ll tell you all about it! Continue reading “Review | Truthwitch – Susan Dennard”
