When I read what this book was about, I expected an epic love story between two people who weren’t supposed to be together. This was kind of true, but this book was so much more than I expected. I have read a lot of romances and forbidden loves, but never something like this. This book impressed me so much that I actually finished it in one day.
A few years ago my aunt sent me The Gryphon series by Stacey Rourke. She was in Boston at the time and knew I loved books. She had these signed for me and sent them to me. I really enjoyed this series and when the chance came along to be a part of the blog tour for Entombed in Glass, I needed to read Rise of the Sea Witch first. My review for Entombed in Glass is scheduled for Thursday, so it was time for the review of the first book now.

While browsing Storytel, my audiobook subsciption, I found they had Zenith! I was pleasantely surprised as I hadn’t expected they would have new English releases. Turns out they do! Last year I read Scarlet Toys, the first book in the Violent Circle series. On February 27th the second book came out and I read and reviewed it. I was really curious to see if it would live up to the first book which I really loved.
It took me quite awhile to continue with this series and now that I have read this book I am really wondering why. Well, I know why. I get distracted by other books I want to read and end up having series that I have only read half of. There is definitely a reason why I decided to set the goal of finishing at least 12 series. I decided to read this, because a friend was reading this series and was loving it. Reading a book with someone is always a lot of fun, so I decided to start reading once she got to this one. At the moment I am writing this review, I have started The Raven King. So, this will be one of the first series I actually finish this year. I just want to make sure to write this before I start confusing the last two books.
