I saw this beauty of a book in a couple of places and was really intrigued! The title, The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, sounds pretty ominous and the synopsis is quite interesting. When I came across it on Netgalley I requested it but totally forgot about it after not being accepted for a while. I grabbed it at the bookstore a couple of times, put it in my online basket but never actually ended up buying it since it’s an adult thriller and those hardcovers are expensive! Imagine my surprise, and delight(!), when all of a sudden I did get approved for a copy on Netgalley. I started reading immediately and here’s my review for you all. Enjoy reading! Buddy Review | The Assassin’s Blade – Sarah J Maas
After it was announced that the last installment of this book will be called Kingdom of Ash we both decided we missed the world and wanted to read these books again. Mini Reviews | Manga Edition #1
After doing a couple of comic edition mini reviews, I thought it would be fun to do a manga one! In the last six months or so I started reading manga and I’m really enjoying it. I have quite some on my wishlist and am currently in the middle of a couple of series. Let’s take a look at a couple I finished lately. Continue reading “Mini Reviews | Manga Edition #1”
Review| Lessons in Corruption – Giana Darling
I really should be ashamed, haha. I read this book in December and wrote the whole review and totally forgot that I had finished it. I am lucky I did though, because it’s five months later. I do remember a lot about this book, but some details have gotten fuzzy. Better late than never I guess? A book with a teacher/student romance. I am totally against them, but while I didn’t mind the one on Pretty Little Liars, did I like it in this book? Did the writer pull it off?

Review| Chasing Love – Kayla Tirrell
Chasing Love is the third and final installment of the Mountain Creek Drive trilogy. I read and reviewed Stage Kiss and Leah’s Song (my review of this book was posted earlier today), so I had to have this one as well, haha. I have loved all of Kayla Tirrell’s books that I have read so far, so I was really looking forward to this one. Did it live up to my expectations? Keep reading to find out!
Review| Leah’s Song – Daphne James Huff
Leah’s Song is the second book in the Mountain Creek Drive trilogy. I already read and reviewed Stage Kiss, so I was happy to get the opportunity to read the second one as well. I was curious to see if this one would bring me down memory lane just like Stage Kiss did.
Review| Our Dark Duet – Victoria Schwab
After reading This Savage Song I was happy that I already owned Our Dark Duet. The first book sucked me right into that world and I needed more. Our Dark Duet was also amazing and I want more. This is a book I couldn’t stop thinking about after I was all done reading it. There were so many emotions!

Recently I’ve been reading a lot of comics and manga’s and I’ve been enjoying myself a lot. I read them quite quickly but there can still be so much story packed in those thin books. Today I’ve got an interesting mix of 3 comics for you guys. Let’s see what I read and what I thought of those comics. Continue reading “Mini Reviews | Comics Edition #4”
Review| This Savage Song – Victoria Schwab
This duology has been on my shelf for quite some time now (like a lot of other books, haha). I had heard a lot of amazing things about them from friends and Isabelle has already read them as well. So after another friend started them and a Facebook group I am in (TBR and Beyond) were going to do a group read, I just had to join! The only regret I have is not reading this book sooner! It was so good!

Review| The Promised One – Morgan G. Farris
At the beginning of the year I was approached by Morgan and she asked if I wanted to read and review her book. After reading what it was about, I knew I had to give it a try. I’m happy I did, because I ended up loving this book and I can’t get the second one fast enough!
