Bookish Item | Netgalley Backlist Part 4

When I was looking through previous posts to find some inspiration for my next bookish item, I stumbled upon my Netgalley Backlist Part 3. I wrote that at the end of October when my feedback ratio was 62%. It’s been four months and my ratio decreased (oops!), haha. I’m now at 56% and really need to increase this.

Out of the 141 books I’ve been approved for, I’ve written reviews for 80 of these books. That means I still have 61 books to go! Today I’ll talk about six more books on my backlist to motivate myself to get to read them. Let’s take a look at my Netgalley Backlist Part 4!

Bookish Item | Top 30 YA Books of the Decade: Did I Read Them?

Last week Candyce looked at the top 100 romance books to see how many she read. And I thought that was a great idea! Of course I don’t read that much romance so I decided to look at a different list. And in December, Buzzfeed posted a list of the 30 best YA books of the decade. It’s been about a decade that I’m reading YA books so I thought it would be the perfect list for me to take a look at. How many of these top YA books did I read? Let’s get in to it! Continue reading “Bookish Item | Top 30 YA Books of the Decade: Did I Read Them?”

Review Blast| Great and Precious Things – Rebecca Yarros

So far I’ve loved every book Rebecca Yarros has written! I don’t think I have to tell you that I was really excited when she announced her next book, Great and Precious Things. Part of me was scared though, because The Last Letter was ugly cry material. Today is release day and I want to tell you what I thought of this new book.

A big thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, Wildfire Marketing Solutions and the author for providing me with an ARC to read and review!

TTT #121| Characters I’d Follow On Social Media

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Characters I’d Follow On Social Media. There are a lot of fun characters, but which ones would I want to follow on social media? I really had to think about this one, but let’s take a look! And I may have chosen a few more than 10 characters, but sometimes I need more than one character from a book!

Review| Fighting Words – Taylor Danae Colbert

I’ve become a broken record when it comes to writing my reviews for this author. Taylor Danae Colbert has never written the same type of book twice and she hasn’t disappointed me yet! I’ve loved all of her books, so I was really excited when she announced her next book Fighting Words. This book released last week and I just have to share my love for it.

A big thanks to the author for providing me with an ARC to read and review. I’m a few days late with writing my review, but it just took me that long to put everything into words for my love of this book. Let’s take a look at what it’s all about!

Show Sunday | Bates Motel

Bates Motel has been on my to watch list for quite a while now. I adore Freddie Highmore in The Good Doctor and had heard great things about Bates Motel. So when a friend told me the Dutch Netflix would be removing it February 19th I knew I had to get started. And today I want to share some of my thoughts about this show! Review| We Used To Be Friends – Amy Spalding

We Used To Be Friends was released in January and it’s not one that I saw around a lot. Then I saw a couple of reviews and it sounded like a book I needed to read. I was happy to see if was available on Storytel and I listened to it last week when I was on the bus to work. Today I wanted to tell you what I thought. Let’s take a look!
