WWW Wednesday #44

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

TTT #304 | Water

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Water. And I have to say, this didn’t immediately spoke to me. But I decided to go with books that (partly) take place on water. I enjoy reading about pirates so let’s see if I can find 10 books I enjoyed that take place on water. Let’s jump in! Continue reading “TTT #304 | Water”

5 On My TBR| Middle Grade Books

As I’ve mentioned before, one of my important reading goals of 2023 is shrinking my physical TBR. Sometimes it’s hard to think of what books I still have or subjects I want to read about. So we needed a way to keep track of this. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.

This week’s topic is child. Nothing is really coming to mind besides middle grade books, so I’ll talk about five middle grade books on my TBR. Let’s take a look!

Down the TBR Hole #108

I managed to read three books off of my want to read shelf on Goodreads since my last Down the TBR Hole. Including one of the books I talked about in my last post (This Might Get Awkward).

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. This meme is now being hosted by Jody from I’m Into Books. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!

Review | My Sister, the Serial Killer – Oyinkan Braithwaite

I’ve had my eyes on this book for a long time! So I was super happy to see a copy in the bookstore I visited in Chicago and immediately bought it. The lady at the bookstore told me she loved it so I was super excited to read it. And this summer I finally did! Did it live up to my expectations? Let’s dive in!

Bookish Item| September TBR

With September right around the corner, I thought it was time to start talking about my September TBR. I’m working 3 days in September, so I plan on reading a lot. Which is why I decided to do a 30 books in 30 days challenge. I have some buddy reads and book clubs planned that are going to help me along with this challenge.

Tag | Try A Chapter: Netgalley Edition Part 8

A little while ago I used a try a chapter tag to see if I was still interested in the older eArcs I haven’t read yet. While I was excited for them when I requested them, my reading tastes have changed a bit and some of these books just aren’t for me anymore. I have not nearly enough time to spend it on books I don’t enjoy or I’m not excited about so I have to make some decisions. Let’s see what I think after the first chapter! Can’t Wait Wednesday | House of Flame and Shadow – Sarah J. Maas

We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.

Can’t Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Continue reading “Can’t Wait Wednesday | House of Flame and Shadow – Sarah J. Maas”

TTT #303| Fantasy Books I Want to Read Soon

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is genre freebie. So I’ve decided to talk about ten fantasy books I’m excited to read soon (either TBR or eARCs). Let’s take a look!
