So I know we’re only halfway through the month, but I’ve already written down a pretty long list of the books I want to read in July. So instead of waiting for the beginning of the month I decided to start now. Keep on reading to see which books I want to read in July!
Author Corner| Interview with Namrata Patel
I’ve said it before, but I really love finding out more about the authors behind the books I want to read or have read and loved. Today I’m back with another author interview. Namrata Patel is the author of The Candid Life of Meena Dave. A book about identity, family secrets, and rediscovering the need to belong is something that sounds right up my alley. This book released at the beginning of the month and today I want to tell you about the book and share my interview with this author.

Bookish Item | Books On My TBR With The Most Ratings
The last weeks I’ve been looking at my books based on their ratings, the highest and the lowest. I really enjoy looking at little statistics like those. So today I wanted to see which books on my TBR had the most ratings! Let’s take a look at the most rated books on my TBR. Continue reading “Bookish Item | Books On My TBR With The Most Ratings”
Can’t Wait Wednesday | High Times in the Low Parliament – Kelly Robson
We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.
Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Continue reading “Can’t Wait Wednesday | High Times in the Low Parliament – Kelly Robson”
WWW Wednesday #11
It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!
So it’s time for the first WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
TTT #241| The Last Ten Books I Added to My Want to Read List on Goodreads
We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is books I wish had an epilogue. A lot of books I read actually have these, so I’m struggling with this one. So I’m going to change the topic like I did last time. For this week I’m going to look at the last ten books I added to my want to read list on Goodreads.

5 On My TBR | Title Starting with an ‘H’
Tracking your TBR is pretty important when it’s quite large, haha. Besides Down the TBR Hole and my Netgalley Backlist we needed something to track my physical TBR. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.
This week’s topic is Title Starting with an ‘H’. It seems a bit random haha, but I’m going to take a look at my books and see if I have 5 books that start with an H. Let’s go! Continue reading “5 On My TBR | Title Starting with an ‘H’”
Royal Update #128
We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
Review| Pretty Lies – Blake Blessing
I’m definitely a reader always open to trying new to me authors (even if it isn’t good for my TBR). I recently saw a sign up for the latest book in the Astrid Scott series and these books sounded amazing. You could also choose to review the whole series, so that’s what I did. I read the first book Pretty Lies and want to tell you more about this book and what I thought!
A big thanks to the author and Peachy Keen Author Services for my e-arc to read and review.
Show Sunday | First Impressions: First Kill
After loving the First Kill short story by V.E. Schwab I got very excited for this Netflix show. I love V.E. Schwab, I love vampires and I love a good sapphic romance. On June 10th the first season dropped and after watching the first couple of episodes I wanted to share my first opinions. Let’s jump in!
