It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!
So it’s time for the first WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What did you recently finish reading?
Lovely Bad Things – Trisha Wolfe
A crime scene profiler and an expert in philosophy who may or may not be a serial killer. Lovely Bad Things was such an intense read that I just couldn’t put down. I loved the writing style and I’m honestly still not sure what has happened. The second book is one I’m really excited about. Be aware though this book is pretty gruesome.
Pretty Lies – Blake Blessing
Pretty Lies was such a good start of a series and I’m really looking forward to the next books. It was nice to see that the romance wasn’t major instalove and the author is taking time to develop this reverse harem.
Even After Always – Chloe Liese
I have a feeling the Bergman Brothers series is going to end up being a favorite. Even After Always is the third book in this series and I loved it just as much as the first two. The author really created such a realistic relationship and I loved seeing these characters trying to find their way back to each other.
What are you currently reading?
I Kissed Shara Wheeler – Casey McQuiston
I’m not that far in yet (only 2 chapters), but I have a feeling this is one I’m going to enjoy. I love that there seems to be a mystery aspect in this book that I wasn’t expecting. Casey McQuiston hasn’t disappointed me yet, so I’m excited about continuing this one later this evening.
Kiss Me – Willow Winters & Amelia Wilde
Kiss Me is the first book in a dark suspense romance and by new to me authors. I believe the third one is releasing soon, so I’m catching up with the first two. Again, I’m not that far, but I’m intrigued. It’s clear a lot has happened to our main character and this seems to be a bodyguard romance? I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.
In the Weeds – B.K. Borison
Look at this cute cover! In the Weeds is a book club read for one I joined on bookstagram. I’m going in pretty blind and don’t know much more than that it’s a romance. I’ve read a few chapters and I already want to sit down and read more.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Blind Side – Kandi Steiner
Kandi Steiner is another author I’ve been wanting to try and Blind Side seems like a good one to start with. This releases in a few days, so I’ll be reading my e-arc for release. A sports romance with fake dating. Sounds like a perfect summer read to me!
Book Lovers – Emily Henry
I actually wanted to read Book Lovers last month, but ran out of time. I keep hearing nothing but amazing things about this book, so I can’t resist much longer. Book Lovers is probably going to be a book I fly through, so I don’t expect it to take me long to read it.
Boys of Brayshaw High – Meagan Brandy
So after reading Say You Swear by this author I’ve become curious about her backlist. Boys of Brayshaw High wasn’t on my list to read this soon, but a friend of mine mentioned it. So before I knew it we had a buddy read planned. I’m excited!
So I actually wrote this post a little earlier than normal, so it’s already scheduled for the week. There may be little changes, but this is what I was planning at the moment I wrote this post. What have you recently read? Or what are you planning to read? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
I want to read all the books you listed. I already have a few on my TBR and I added a few more to my TBR, very looking forward to reading them.
Have a great week 🌈

I’ve been hearing a lot of great things about In the Weeds, but it’s also one of like 4 books following what looks to be a new illustrated cover trend and I keep thinking they’re all the same book 😅

A good lot of books. Book Lovers was average for me (well slightly above average as I gave it 4/5). I am definitely in the minority with that opinion!
Have a great week!
