We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is books I wish had an epilogue. A lot of books I read actually have these, so I’m struggling with this one. So I’m going to change the topic like I did last time. For this week I’m going to look at the last ten books I added to my want to read list on Goodreads.
Conversations with Friends – Sally Rooney
Conversations with Friends is a book I’ve seen around for quite some time, but more so recently now that there’s an adaptation. It’s a TV show. Two college students and a relationship the forge with a married couple. I really have no clue what to expect except fro what I saw in the trailer for the show. I do want to read this before watching.
Crooked Crows – Elena Lawson
This is the first book in the Boys of Briar Hall series. Crooked Crows is a dark enemies to lovers reverse harem romance. I’ve been reading more darker romances and books with reverse harems. A friend of mine read this series and loved it, so I had to add it to my list!
Where You See Yourself – Claire Forrest
I added Where You See Yourself to my want to read list when the cover was revealed recently. Coming of age novels tend to be some of my favorites and I love that this one has a disability rep. This doesn’t release until 2023, but I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out.
Broken Trust – R.A. Smyth
Broken Trust is another dark reverse harem romance. Can you see a trend with my reading at the moment? Haha. I love that it takes place at a prep school. That’s one of my favorite bookish settings.
Seven Faceless Saints – M.K. Lobb
Another 2023 release and if I remember correctly I learned about this one through a blogger email. You could sign up if you were interested in receiving an e-arc a few months before release. A new fantasy with murders happening that need to be solved. Sounds like something right up my alley.
Scotsman in the Stacks – Alana Oxford
For me the cover was one of the first things that caught my eye. It has books! A romance and a main character that works at the library? That’s all I needed to know before wanting to read this book. Add a pretty cover and I was completely sold.
Anastasia – Sophie Lark
Okay, so this book doesn’t have a cover yet and I haven’t read anything by Sophie Lark, but I was intrigued. Anastasia retellings aren’t something I see often and I wonder how the author is going to give this story a twist.
A Strange and Stubborn Endurance – Foz Meadows
A queer political fantasy romance? Yes, please! I don’t know why I didn’t know this book was coming, but when I saw a booktube video of someone talking about it I became very intrigued. A Strange and Stubborn Endurance releases in July and I really want to read it.
Bradford Bastard – Sheridan Anne
From what I understand Bradford Bastard is a dark enemies to lovers high school romance. This book just released and a friend read an ARC and said it was really good. I’ve been discovering way too many new authors lately, haha.
This Time Tomorrow – Emma Straub
This Time Tomorrow is a book that released and May and I totally missed it. I can’t imagine going back in time to relive moments again, but it’s always an interesting concept to read about.

Fun list. I added A Strange and Stubborn Endurance to my TBR: it looks really good. I got lucky because I recently read a few books with no epilogues and since I get frustrated when there’s no epilogue I remembered easily these titles.
Have a great week 🌈

Some great looking books on this list! And getting ready for 2023!
I find that some of my books have an epilogue style ending so I found it a bit tough!
Have a great week!

I’m liking the premise for Seven Faceless Saints a lot — a little creepiness mixed with fantasy sounds like a good subgenre to shake it up with!

The only one on this list that I’ve read is Conversations with Friends and even though I wasn’t particularly fond of it (compared to Normal People), I would’ve still liked to see an epilogue lol a few of the other books on here look so good, too. Great list!
