Bookish Beginnings on Friday| The Society For Soulless Girls – Laura Steven

I’ve loved promoting books I’m excited about and have received e-arcs of. One I recently got was The Society For Soulless Girls by Laura Steven. This author wrote one of my favorite books, The Exact Opposite of Okay, and I’m excited about this YA thriller with a supernatural twist.

This meme was created by Rose City Reader. The idea is to post the first sentence or so of the book you’re currently reading. After that you talk about your initial thoughts about the sentence, book or anything to do with that.

Keep on reading and find out which eARC’s I plan on picking up first! Continue reading “Bookish Item | eARC Priorities”

Bookish Item| Author Spotlights

Believe me when I say I have a lot of unread books on my shelves. I’m guessing a lot of us book lovers will relate to that as well. I recently noticed I have quite a few new to me authors on my shelves that I own multiple books by. What’s a better way to work on my backlist and promote the authors by doing a monthly author spotlight. I’ll read one new to me author every month (all the books I own) and then decide if they’re going to be an author I add to my auto-buy authors now that I’ve read some of their books. Keep on reading to see which authors you’ll be seeing soon for these author spotlights!

WWW Wednesday #9

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for the first WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Besides boarding schools I love the setting of summer camps for books, so for now you get my interview with the author. I do hope to read Primal Animals this summer. Keep on reading for more about this book and my interview.

5 On My TBR| Contemporary Part 2

Tracking your TBR is pretty important when it’s quite large, haha. Besides Down the TBR Hole and my Netgalley Backlist we needed something to track my physical TBR. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.

This week’s topic is contemporary. This is a part 2, because Isabelle also did this topic last week. Contemporary is one of my favorite genres, so I have so many books that could fit this topic. Choosing just five is going to be hard, haha. But let’s take a look!
