We keep on saying this, but how is it already time to talk about the books we’re looking forward to in June?!? After this we’re already halfway through 2022! Summer months tend to be a bit slower with new releases, but is that the case this month? Keep on reading to find out what our anticipated June releases are!
We All Fall Down – Rose Szabo (June 7th)
A new dark YA fantasy duology, with a ton of elements I love. It looks like we’ll have a modern setting, the characters are both working and going to school and are all queer I believe!
Home Field Advantage – Dahlia Adler (June 7th)
I love the summer vibes I get from the cover of Home Field Advantage. It’s a contemporary and I definitely see those as amazing summer reads. An f/f romance between a cheerleader and the school’s quarterback. I have a feeling this book is going to be about more than just their romance.
Zyla & Kai – Kristina Forest (June 7th)
Zyla & Kai seems to have one of my favorite things. A story told through two timelines. I love seeing how things come to be and how it will change their present. Zyla & Kai seem to really belong together, but I’m not sure everything will work out.
Fireworks – Alice Lin (June 7th)
A K-Pop romcom isn’t something I’ve read before, but Fireworks sounds like a great read. I love the friends to lovers trope.
A Little Bit Country – Brian D. Kennedy (June 7th)
I’m not a big country music fan, but A Little Bit Country sounds like something right up my alley. A teenager who wants to be country music’s biggest gay superstar and another teenager who hates country music. I know this is going to be a great read!
Breaking Time – Sasha Alsberg (June 14th)
So the early reviews are not kind and probably should warn me away haha, but I would still like to give this one a chance! The premise sounds interesting and I love that it is set in Scotland. Also, the cover is gorgeous.
The Midnight Orchestra – Jessica Khoury (June 14th)
I adored the first book in this MG fantasy series and I’m very excited for this sequel. It had some predictable moments but overall it was a fun world and I liked the characters.
Never Coming Home – Kate Williams (June 21st)
I’ve been loving thrillers and Never Coming Home sounds like just what I’m looking for! Ten of America’s hottest teenage influencers are invited to an exclusive island resort. It seems not all will make it home. I’m intrigued!
Maggie Moves On – Lucy Score (June 21st)
Lucy Score is an author I’ve heard so many amazing things about and her next book, Maggie Moves On, sounds amazing. I love house-flipping shows and our main character is a YouTube sensation that does just that. Add a romance and I’m sure I’ll be a happy reader.
The Final Strife – Saara El-Arifi (June 23rd)
I need to start my eARC of this one soon! It’s a big book and it sounds amazing. I love that this is inspired by African and Arabian mythology. It’s going to be a trilogy and I have very high hopes for it! There is also a tournament, one of my favorite elements.
Katzenjammer – Francesca Zappia (June 28th)
I loved Francesca’s Eliza and her Monsters, hopefully this is just as good. This is a horror (or dark fantasy) and it sounds so intriguing. It isn’t what I would normally pick up but I do really want to try this one. Students are trapped in their school and are slowly transforming. What is going on?
So those are the June releases we’re really excited about. Are you excited about any of these? Did we miss any books releasing in June you think we need to know about? Let us know in the comments! We’d love to hear from you.
This is such a great read! I am such a huge fan of K-Pop music and I love to buy the merchandise. I have a collection of the merchandise. I recently came across Kpop Omo, where I can find k-pop artist’s albums and merch online.
