Two weeks ago I wrote a post about a few series that I’ve started, but haven’t finished yet. You can find that post here. That’s not the whole list, but it’s a start. Today I decided to talk about completed series that I have on my shelf, but still need to start. Yes, I’m the reader that buys a whole series before reading the first book, haha. Let’s take a look at a few of the series I really need to read soon!

Last week Candyce showed you all some of the series she’s reading that are already completed and she should’ve finished ages ago ;). Of course she’s not the only one haha. So today I want to share some of the completed series I started reading and should finish as soon as possible! I read a ton of series so this won’t be a complete post and we might make some more of these posts in the future. Let’s take a look at some of the completed series with the highest priority! I’m the type of reader that reads a lot at once and tends to get distracted, haha. This comes to series as well, I’ll start and mean to go back to the next books and before I know it the year is over and I still haven’t touched the next book. I really want to change this, so today I want to talk about completed series I’ve started and really need to finish. Hopefully this post helps me along!

This past week or so racism has been the main focus on all media, social media, on the news etc. And while I like to think I’m not racist, I realized I could do more to be an actual anti-racist. One of the things I realized was that I don’t have that much Black authors on my shelves. Today I want to share the Black authors I have on my TBR. I immediately made a wishlist, because you bet the next book I buy will be by a Black author!
While I tried to only include Black authors, I might’ve accidentally included POC authors as well. I decided to risk that so I wouldn’t miss anyone!

It’s time for another Book Beginnings on Friday! This meme was created by Rose City Reader. The idea is to post the first sentence or so of the book you’re currently reading. After that you talk about your initial thoughts about the sentence, book or anything to do with that. I don’t know how often we will do this, but it seems like fun from time to time. Today’s book is The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams. Continue reading “Bookish Item | Book Beginnings on Friday: The Bromance Book Club – Lyssa Kay Adams”
Normally we do tags on Thursdays, but lately both of us have been having a harder time finding tags we want to do or think are fun. That’s when Isabelle stumbled upon this new bookish meme: #MGTakesOnThursday created by BookCraic. Middle grade books have become a bigger part of my TBR, so this looked like a lot of fun. Let’s take a look at what this is all about!
I’m always up for reading challenges, because they’re great way to get through some books and backlist books at that! Ellie from Read to Ramble posted about this and she saw it on Holly’s blog from Holly Loves Books. The Book Tempter’s TBR Book Challenge was created by Runalong the Shelves and the original post can be found here.
There is no set date to start this challenge, only that you have 12 weeks to complete it. So I think I’ll start on June 1st and this will end on August 24th. Hopefully I can get to some of my backlist books, so let’s take a look at the TBR I hope to stick to with the prompts for the challenge.

Candyce and I are participating in Middle Grade May this month (some with more success than others….) and last week Candyce shared her middle grade backlog with you all. Today it’s my turn to show you some of the MG books I still have waiting on me. Let’s dive in! Continue reading “Bookish Item | My Middle Grade Backlog Part 2”
As big Harry Potter fans, we were really excited to participate in this year’s Magical Readathon. You choose a career in this world and read books to earn your O.W.L.s. We both chose career paths and made a TBR (Part 1 & Part 2) at the beginning of April. We’re almost halfway through May and wanted to let you know how we did. What careers will we try to do N.E.W.T.s for later this year? Keep on reading to find out!
It’s May and in the bookish world, that means it’s Middle Grade May! That made me take a look at my shelves to figure out what I wanted to read. Looking at my shelves, I realized, I had a lot more unread middle grade books on my shelves than I thought. That’s why I want to share my middle grade back log today. Hopefully I can post an update in a few months and have a lot of these read. Let’s take a look!
