I’m the type of reader that reads a lot at once and tends to get distracted, haha. This comes to series as well, I’ll start and mean to go back to the next books and before I know it the year is over and I still haven’t touched the next book. I really want to change this, so today I want to talk about completed series I’ve started and really need to finish. Hopefully this post helps me along!
I won’t be talking about all of the completed series I’ve started or this post will become a book. So I’m sure there will be more posts like this in the future. I’ll start out with a few. The covers are the books in the series I still need to read.
The Naturals – Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Isabelle was actually the one who recommended this series to me quite awhile before we started the blog. I loved every minute of the first three books. If I remember correctly, the fourth and final book wasn’t out yet when I was done with the third book.Or I just didn’t own that one yet. I really need to finish the final book and novella that was released.
Throne of Glass – Sarah J Maas
Okay, this is really awful. I’ve actually put Kingdom of Ashes on multiple lists to motivate me to finish this series. Throne of Glass is one of my favorites and I’ve read these books more than once. Isabelle and I even picked up the final book on release day. I really think that I’m just not ready for this series to end. My goal is to finish before the end of 2020!
Three Dark Crowns – Kendare Blake
Another series that I’ve read everything except the final book. Five Dark Fates released in September 2019. I actually got my copy on release day and it’s just waiting to be read. I’m debating on whether or not I want to do a reread of the series before picking up the last book.
Snow Like Ashes – Sara Raasch
Snow Like Ashes is another series I’ve talked about when I was writing lists for different posts. After reading the first book it took me almost two years to pick up the sequel. It wasn’t that I didn’t enjoy it, but just got distracted. Then I started a buddy read for the last two. When we got to the final book, Frost Like Night, I got behind. Not too long ago, I actually thought I hadn’t started until I saw the bookmark around 80 pages in.
Falling Kingdoms – Morgan Rhodes
I think it’s safe to say that I have a trend when it comes to starting series, I’ll join a readalong and get a bit behind, haha. Then I forget and it takes a bit for me to find my way back. That’s also the case with Falling Kingdoms. I’ve read the first three books and have three to go. If I’m honest, this isn’t my favorite series. A lot of things happen to conveniently or just too easy. I do enjoy the world and some of the twists which is why I’ve continued with these books.
Captive Prince – C.S. Pacat
A friend of mine read Captive Prince and told me about it. I was really curious, so bought all three books. I read the first one and I have to say it’s an unique story, but definitely had my attention. I hear the second and third book are even better. It’s time for me to continue!
So these are six completed series I’ve started, but haven’t finished. If you’ve read any of these, which one should I finish first? Also, what completed series do you need to finish reading? Let me know in the comments!
I’ve been there with not wanting a series to end and delaying the last book. Kingdom of Ashes sounds amazing though!

Yeah, it’s always sad when a series you love comes to an end!
I’m working on finishing some series this year too! Lol! Not doing too badly at the moment with a couple of them but still struggling with one. I’ve created a page on my blog to help me keep track.
Creating a page is really smart!
