TTT #64 | The Ten Most Recent Additions to My To-Read List

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since last January Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is The Ten Most Recent Additions to My To-Read List. To do this week’s top 10, I looked at the most recent books I added to my “want to read” shelf on Goodreads. The physical books I add to my collection are put in a bookhaul, so I don’t want to repeat that!

Blog Tour – That’s Not What I Heard – Stephanie Kate Strohm

By now you all may know that I don’t read a lot of contemporary, but the moment I saw the synopsis for That’s Not What I Heard I knew it was the kind of contemporary I enjoy. It sounded like a really fun and fast read, perfect to read in between some heavy fantasy novels. So when I got the chance to participate in the blog tour for this book I jumped on it! Thanks to the publisher and The Fantastic Flying Book Club I got to read an eArc of this one. Today I have my review for you all, so let’s get into it! Buddy Review | Shadow and Bone – Leigh Bardugo

To prepare for the release of King of Scars, Isabelle thought it would be a good idea to reread the Grisha Verse trilogy. So we decided to dedicate a whole week on the blog to Grisha. We’re both excited to read the newest book in this world.

To start off our Grisha week, we’re sharing our review for Shadow and Bone, the first book in this trilogy!

Show Sunday | Sex Education

When I opened Netflix about a week or 2 ago, I saw this new show; Sex Education. I wasn’t to sure about watching this, but I did want to see the trailer after I came across the series a couple of times. Turned out, the trailer looked hilarious! A couple of my friends already watched the show and based on their recommendation I decided to go for it. So let’s see what I thought about this show! Continue reading “Show Sunday | Sex Education”

Buddy Review | Ice Like Fire – Sara Raasch

Both of us really want to get in charge of our backlist books and series we need to finish. To help us start, we decided to do a buddy read of Ice Like Fire with our friend Melissa, from Melissa’s Fandom World (you can find here review here!). Today we’re posting our review of this book. Since this is the sequel to Snow Like Ashes, there will be some spoilers for that first book. Read on at your own risk!

Bookish Item | Series I Want to Finish in 2019

A little bit later than planned but in this bookish item I want to show you all some of the series I would like to finish this year. I made a spreadsheet of all the series I’m currently reading, or better said, the series I started but never completed. There are over 60 series I have started that I also plan on finishing. This year one of my reading goals is once again to finish 12 series. So let’s take a look at a couple of the series I plan on finishing this year. I only mention 6 because I know I won’t be able to stick to 12 pre set series, but these have priority! Continue reading “Bookish Item | Series I Want to Finish in 2019”

Tag | 90’s Kid Book Tag

It’s Thursday, so it’s time for a new bookish tag. I was looking around some blogs I follow and stumbled upon the 90’s Kid Book Tag. Nose Stuck in a Book did this tag (definitely check out her blog, she’s great) and she found this tag on Berries & Books.

I was born at the end of the 80’s, so most of my childhood was in the 90’s. It’s fun answering questions related to things I’ve forgotten about! Let’s take a look!

Blog Tour | Cruel Money – K.A. Linde

Earlier today I posted my review for One Cruel Night, the prequel to Cruel Money. Once I read the prequel, I knew this was going to be a series I couldn’t put down. Did I still think that after reading this book? Let’s find out!

First I have to thank Inkslinger PR and the author for providing me with an ARC to read and review!

Review| One Cruel Night – K.A. Linde

Last year I discovered the author K.A. Linde and loved everything I read by her. This year she’s releasing a new series, Cruel. The first book Cruel Money is out today and my review will be posted this afternoon as a part of the blog tour.

K.A. Linde surprised us all though when she released the novella, One Cruel Night, for free. One Cruel Night is the prequel for this series. I decided to read this one before diving in to my ARC of Cruel Money, so I wanted to share my review of this before the book this afternoon.
