Jay Kristoff is an author I hear a lot about online in the bookish community. So far, I have only read The Illuminae Files that he wrote together with Amie Kaufman. His book Lifel1k3 has been something I want to read for quite awhile, so when I had the chance to buddyread it with a few people, I signed up!
As you all probably know by now, I love watching tv shows! And I love checking out new tv shows. One of the shows that just started is Roswell, New Mexico. The trailer looked okay and I saw a lot of actors I liked in other shows so I wanted to give this a try. I haven’t seen the original show and wasn’t sure I would like this. It reminded me a little bit of Star-Crossed, a 2014 teen show with aliens and ‘star-crossed’ lovers. While I liked that show, I didn’t love it and wasn’t really looking for something similar. Because I read both books pretty close together in time, I decided to do a mini review for each book and post them together!

I think by now everyone has seen the Marie Kondo meme regarding owning only 30 books. And I think we also all know that number was just a personal preference for her but you can imagine how the bookish community reacted to all of this 😉 I can see where she is coming from, Marie wants to make us more aware of our clutter and take a good look at all the stuff we own. ‘Does this spark joy?’ is her go to question to determine if something stays or goes, and I like that a lot! In the wake of this funny meme some booktubers made videos wherein they picked which books they would keep ‘if i only owned 30 books’.
