Mini Reviews | Fence vol. 6 & Saga vol. 11

It’s been awhile since I did a review for graphic novels but I’ve finally read a couple again. These are the latest releases in 2 of my favorite series (and 2 of the only ones I’m all caught up with, haha). I had high hopes for both of these so let’s see if they lived up to it!

Bookish Item| March TBR

With about a week left in February, it’s time to start thinking about what I want to read in March. I’m off of work the first two weeks of the month, so I’m hoping to get quite a bit of reading in. As usual, my TBRs aren’t something I stick to, but I still like making one. So keep on reading to see what I hope to read in March!

Tag | Try a Chapter: Netgalley Edition Part 10

A little while ago I used a try a chapter tag to see if I was still interested in the older eArcs I haven’t read yet. While I was excited for them when I requested them, my reading tastes have changed a bit and some of these books just aren’t for me anymore. I have not nearly enough time to spend it on books I don’t enjoy or I’m not excited about so I have to make some decisions. It’s been a while since I’ve last done one of these, so I think it’s the perfect time to do another one. Let’s see what I think after the first chapters! TTT #329| Bookish Superpowers I Wish I Had

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Bookish Superpowers I Wish I Had. I don’t know if I can think of ten, but let’s see how far I get!

5 On My TBR | Set in a Foreign Country

As I’ve mentioned before, one of my important reading goals of 2023 is shrinking my physical TBR. Sometimes it’s hard to think of what books I still have or subjects I want to read about. So we needed a way to keep track of this. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.

This week’s topic is Set in a Foreign Country. I don’t read that many books set in the Netherlands, usually the setting is the UK or the USA. This of course applies to books that don’t have a fantasy or sci-fi setting ;). So I wanted to pick books set in countries that aren’t the Netherlands, the UK or the USA. Let’s see if I have any on my shelves! Continue reading “5 On My TBR | Set in a Foreign Country”

Review| The Hurricane Wars – Thea Guanzon

When I heard about The Hurricane Wars and requested it on Netgalley, I honestly didn’t even know what it was about. All I knew was that it was a romantasy and that the cover was stunning. I’m glad I did though, because I ended up loving this book. Keep on reading for my full review.

A big thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an eARC to read and review. This didn’t influence my opinion of the story!

Bookish Item | Poetry Collections on my Wishlist

Last week I shared my review of Diary of a Romantica vol. 1 by Celia Martinez, the first poetry collection I’ve read in a while. Lately I’ve been enjoying consuming poetry a lot. I both listen to poems (mostly via TikTok), read them online and now read them in a physical collection again. And I’ve added a couple poetry collections to my wishlist, so I thought it would be fun to share that wishlist with you today. Let’s dive in!
