After Isabelle did the try a chapter tag recently, it reminded me about this one. It’s a great one to figure out what book you want to read. Or if you do the Netgalley edition of this tag to find out if you still want to read an older eARC (we have been blogging for almost 7 years) or what upcoming eARC we want to start with.

Today I’ll be reading the first chapter of three upcoming releases I have eARCs of. I want to read all of these, so let’s see which one catches my attention the most.

The Honey Witch – Sydney J. Shields

The first chapters was quite long (7% of the book) and I’m intrigued. Marigold seems like an interesting character and I understand her not wanting to go to a ball. She seems to be an odd one in her community and being unwed adds on. Something clearly has gone on with someone and I’m really curious to see where this story goes.

Evocation – S.T. Gibson

Okay, this first chapter really left me wanting more. We read from David’s perspective. Lawyer by day, part of some type of occult at night? He doesn’t apologize for his wealth or what he can do. During this seance though, something doesn’t go right. It seems to be connected to an event in the past. I need to know more!

Past Present Future – Rachel Lynn Solomon

As a big fan of Today Tonight Tomorrow, I was glad we were getting this book. It felt like coming home reading the first chapter. I would be just like Rowan, trying to take too many books with me. I love seeing Rowan and Neil happy and couldn’t help the smile on my face while reading the first chapter. Their first year of college is going to have its bumps though. I can’t wait to see how they experience college and hopefully stay together.

 

So after reading the first chapter of these three eARCs, I want to continue reading them all, haha. If I really look at them I’m torn between Evocation and Past Present Future. Those left me wanting to continue the most. I think I’ll start off with Past Present Future though. Will you be reading any of these? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
